So who’s going to be coaching at USC next year?

twitter trying to claim meyer will be the new coach. don't believe a word of it. finebaum said yesterday that president carol holt won't allow it because of the zach smith situation.

@GroverCleveland that's what it's sounding like. He was asked the question out right a couple days ago, and he basically refused to answer. rumors are he isn't fitting "the culture" very well in the Big 10.

basically, he's a spazz. I don't think he will fair any better at usc, but it would be a good personal move for him.

I think Bieniemy would kill it at USC.

yeah, he wants them, and they want him. problem is they would have to wait until after the nfl season. it's bad timing. they would have to go with a one year interim coach until after the nfl season, and either way that turns out would be a loss for usc. if the interim kills it, they would be stuck with him, and if he tanked, they would lose a whole season waiting on bien...

I think he is certainly interested and will listen. I believe Bieniemy's first choice would be an NFL head coach. He does have some baggage that could surface if USC is indeed seriously interested in him.

Jack Del Rio time? Harbaugh back to Cali? I have even seen some lists have Schiano--can you imagine? They will target Cristobal, but I think he stays at Oregon until Nicky retires.

I think that only applies in NFL to NFL moves. As far as interviews. Less clunky than a sitting college HC navigating lameness of ducks.

Actually, in all seriousness I would wager that the tail stand was not put in place.

Somebody on the ground staff might want to spend the weekend updating his resume. Have a weird feeling he or she is going to be needing a job in a different field very soon.

Maybe a hardcore Wazzu fan sacrificed their job to sabotage the Trojans

Regardless of who coaches at USC next year, can we just get one of their castoff QBs?

The Trojans starter (Slovis) got hurt and their freshman backup lit up the Cougs for 300+ and 4 TDs.

Apparently the plane was a charter, and this aircraft type doesn’t usually land at this airport. Ramp crew didn’t know to put the tail stand in place and to unload the rear baggage area first

Speaking of planes, I heard that Jon Gruden’s private plane was spotted circling Los Angeles last week…

No one ever wins at USC without a major cheating scandal. It's a decades old tradition there. It may be slightly easier now due to NiL but the issue is that no one really cares that much about sports in Southern California outside of Laker fans and even they are more knowing for going to be seen there instead of to cheer for the Lakers.

They don’t care, yet the Coliseum was packed to the brim when Pete Carroll had them rolling. It’s one of the top 3-5 jobs in the country. And no I don’t think Reggie Bush and his family taking money from a street agent is a major cheating scandal.

And what major scandals happened under John McKay? I would consider four National Championships winning.

I didn't say they didn't win. McKay arrived at USC in 1958, they got caught for major violations in 1959 and were on probation his first several years there. They had been caught in 1957 too. They are one of of most penalized programs in NCAA history.
