You know there are plenty available. And, let’s admit, Tennessee isn’t close to the team they used to be. Struggling to break even in the SEC or make it to the NCAA’s. Unthinkable a few years ago. I’ll just mention one coach that could make a difference in the LV program...Betsy Harris. Look her up!!

Coaching at Florida Southern is not Knoxville. I dont have to look her up. I know who she is. Lakeland is a good spot for her.

Now give me that list. Im waiting.

OldnslownLAZY!! Jolie Mitchell, the woman from Princeton, Stephanie White, White from A&M, joy Cheek, Hamilton from Michigan State, Katrina Merriweather. Plenty of up and comers. Read...Research...come on...you can do it!! Anyone would be better than what’s there now, or so the LV fans say.

That's right. We need to level the plane and stop heading down. Been seven seasons now. Seven! I feel like just the freshness of any change would be valuable at this point. These players need a fresh start, a reset. Their careers are flying by, and not in a good way. Stop the madness.

Of course the AD is not going to go out and hire the local florist or anything, but anyone reasonably competent would be an upgrade. The rate we went downhill this year just can't happen again.

I actually agree, there are lots of coaches out there, all genders, with all kinds of talents, almost all of them capable of at least not making us worse. That would be better.

White may not make it through the month( you better do your research, although this type of info does not come through research), Merriweather is like the others, you do not bring in a unproven coach that recruits regionally to win at Tennessee. Surely you know the recruiting scene better to suggest these coaches?

Now give me some real choices......

Now thats a proven woman that has had success at a high level. This is not lets hire someone and give them on the job training as some are suggesting. They will get eat alive........

At this point, I think Holly stays and if there are no transfers, they may be better next year, but i would prefer a fresh start than to bet on holly another year.

Don't think so. Bad history with the LVs. Thou shalt not mess with the recruitment of Ms. Candace (Can-Dance) Parker. Not exactly known for high integrity.

And oh the irony! Looks like Holly's swan song might be a beatdown by either Brenda Friese or Geno, two of the great, traditional LV enemies. Poor CHW simply cannot get a break.

They will be better than this year, but they will not be a FF team even though they have the pieces on the team where an actual good coach would be able to get them there (especially with next year being a down year with all of the graduations and underclassmen yet to prove themselves). It will be enough to finish 4th or 5th in the SEC, win 20+ games, and maybe make the S16. At which point Holly gets another extension...

On a separate but related note...I was reading an article where they spoke of how Holly convinced Zaay Green to reconsider even after she verballed to Kansas. It would seem all is fair in love, war and recruiting.

Wow! That's despicable, and I don't care if someone comes on here to say that "everybody does it." Tennessee isn't supposed to do it. Yuck.

I do want to emphasize that Zaay had only given a verbal and not signed her LOI. I recall quite a bit of time passed from the time that Zaay originally committed and when she re-opened her recruitment, so nothing was official. But I will say that going to a recruit (who decided against an official visit with Tennessee and committed somewhere else) to talk her out of her decision removes any idea that Tennessee plays a cleaner game than anyone else. To that I say, "Give me Brenda Freese!"

I thought I read where she made sure the young lady was decommitted before allowing her to visit and Zaay contacted her of her decision.

This is NOT a CHW lover post but I would like to think if she was upholding something CPS did I wouldn’t want that to be tarnished. While it’s totally legal I think CPS was a big proponent of not contacting a kid after they committed to a school.

Zarielle Green commits to Lady Vols

Here is the article that states Kansas had known of the decommittment and TN contacted KU after green informed them of her decision

Best hire possible is Geno! Followed by Vic. Obviously those two aren't going anywhere so you get the next BEST possible choice....Brenda from Maryland. That's the best option....period!
