No.
I have hesitated to mention this but this class is more average than many might want to admit UNLESS they have 3* that are underrated. According to 247, UT has the 4th best class in the SEC. However if you rank by the average score the Vols have a 90.93. That moves them down to 6th. It moves them from 9th to 14th nationally.
That's still very good but unless some of those 3* turn out to be stars... it isn't as good as some seem to feel.

We have/had these player(s) named Cedric Tillman and Velus Jones Jr., you may have heard of them, they are both 3*. I don't put much stock in * ratings anymore, this coaching staff can actually coach them up.No.

Great class but avg score >> overall ranking. Still this is the highest average score we’ve had in over a decade! No.

I’m excited but they are part of the average. We see so much talk over the years about underrated three stars but that basically cancels out all the 4 stars who never contributed (Maleik Grey, JJ Peterson, etc.)I understand where you are coming from but we do have some under the radar guys that are 3* recruits. Guys like Telander, Slaughter, and Luttrell.
Have you seen how close all the per player rankings are this year? There are 7 teams per player ranked between 90.5-91.5 per player (we are right at 91) There are 6 more from 91.5-92.3 or so). Point is there are basically 13 classes very close in per player talent with only really OSU/UGA and Bama in their own little group (but they aren’t as far ahead as normal.No.

Disagree.Great class but avg score >> overall ranking. Still this is the highest average score we’ve had in over a decade!
Our classes used to fall into the .87-.89 range and was comparable to schools like Arkansas, USCe, and those type of schools.
We definitely have moved up a tier and it’s nice to see our brand up there with Clemson, Florida, Oregon, and other top 15 brands. Time to take the next step to become truly elite.
Mr sunshineGreat class the best one since Butch was here. Unfortunately our main conference rivals are still ahead of us. Def bringing in better defensive talent and getting Nico was the greatest thing about this class. It just sucks when your ranked 8th in the country in recruiting but that’s still not quite good enough in the SEC
UT needs to join the Sun Belt then

WTF?? It was sarcasm............Relax.You should go be a fan of someone else. Bashing this class before any of the players arrive on campus is just plain stupid. You have zero clue how this class will turn out. Tons of five star players bust every single year, trust the staff to fill the needs of the team.....I guarantee they know more than you!
