are you proud of getting more because others had to pay more?

of course. screw the people in this country that actually drive the economy and pay the taxes. the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds is far more important than the wall street trader or bank CEO.

It is regulated by the people... In elections every two years.
Protests are essentially just a means to have those elections go your way. Nothing wrong with that. Tea Partiers have a go at it. In November, we'll find out if the nation agrees with you and thus regulated government.

The health care bill is a prime example of why this is an ignorant statement.

Not true... I now have more in my paycheck after Obama took over. He lowered taxes for the lower to middle class.

Now, if you're rich, yes you pay more.

Really? My wife and I combined do not make 150k much less 250k and I have seen no change (no pun intended).

so people haven't been losing jobs since Jan? Stupid media telling me they have
oh, there's no doubt people have been losing jobs... just can't blame Obama... YET... That's why i said the summer is a big deal for both parties. That's about 18 months into his time as president, and IMO, that's enough time for an economy to start to rebound.

The stock market has started to rebound. (For me, I could care less about that.) But, if jobs follow, Obama will be credited (fair or not)

if i'm going to give him credit for the stock market why can't i blame him for the job market?

Trust me, if I was classified as rich, I wouldn't care if I had to pay more taxes. I would cry myself all the way to the bank.

So to answer your question, yep, I'm proud!

and that's the sad part- no one is ashamed to be living off the gov't anymore. Other people will pay for me? Sweet!!

Obama didn't lower taxes for anybody. The withholding tables were adjusted to have less taken out of your check during the week, but your total tax liability for the year was unchanged.

also, tax credits are not the same thing as tax cuts. Obama and his supporters keep equating the two, which is just another lie.
Whatever..... I have more money in my pocket because of him... Classify it anyway you want, the middle class isn't worse off because of Obama.

In time could that change, sure? But you can make assumptions about the future about a lot of things. Doesn't make it true.

The health care bill is a prime example of why this is an ignorant statement.
I'm not sure what people expected when they voted for Obama... I voted for him, and am glad the health care bill passed.

I'm not sure how the government can listen to the people more basing it off of elections. Basing it off of news poles where everybody isn't given the same chance to vote is dangerous. Basing it off of protestors is dangerous. It could just be a loud minority who believe that.

The only way to truly judge what the american people believe is through elections.

they aren't worse off, yet. Wait until the healthcare tax increases take effect, then pile on the inevitable VAT.

and making assumptions about the future is all Obama has done. His own budgets assume a rosy growth rate of over 5%.
