Somewhat off topic: Is it possible that Pig Howard

So what you are saying is Chattanoogavol was just confirming what your dad already knew ? and after all these years nothing has changed.

you have no facts to back up your statement that Wharton will be better than Pig. Wharton may never see the field. you never know.

I didn't say anything about Wharton. You're getting confused.

Sorry folks, Pig is not very good. I Like J. Johnson better, And Vic Wharton will be much better

Not picking on you personally per se... but statements like this are a sore spot with me.

I have been accused of being too hard on the staff. Maybe I am. I definitely do not want them to fail and apparently have higher expectations of them than many others. Yes I do want miracle workers because that's about what it takes to win championships and to play at a high level in the SEC these days.

That said, this poster has decided Pig isn't very good. Why? He would probably find some reason that satisfies him... I would say it was because he's not being put in a position to be successful. The guy is very quick and VERY fast. Pig defies all the excuses being used for the coaching staff. He has great instincts and talent. Size is not only not a factor on this particular play... it is probably better for a guy to be smallish.

UT blocked this same play very well for CP last year. He had lanes to run through to get to the 2nd level. Pig hasn't been given that.

Oh and lastly... I've been through several cycles of the "new kid in town" syndrome by now here. Wharton or one of the new guys might in fact be better. But there was a day when Pig was DEFINITELY better than some guy he was expected to push out of the way. Lane was described by some as a "starter from day one" over Poole. McNeil was described the same way. J Smith was a "beast" who would be a stud DE.... The point is that we have no idea if the '14 recruits will be as good as advertised. Sutton probably wasn't the guy most picked to make a huge impact as a Fr this past year. It is rare that a Fr displaces a guy with talent and experience.

Is this thread supposed to reverse a call or bring back a fumble or what?

I think it's supposed to enlighten us all to the Foster-Howard connection that they somehow create bad luck. Hog wash, this is going to be a long off season. Go Big Orange!
