Look at youtube. Their most viewed video is Boat on A River that was posted 11 years ago, at 26 million views. The Mr. Roboto official video was posted just 3 years ago and has 20 million views. Gap is closing.
What, are you 12?That is like saying Enter sandman by Metallica will be their only song people will remember in 50 years because it is so well known just like Mr. Roboto. Enter sandman is on Metallica’s 5th best album imo. Styx just like Metallica were recording monumental jams for years before Roboto and sandman were written. I started listening to Styx when I was like 10 years old. Styx had already been a band for over 30 years by that time.

people won't even remember Metallica at all in 50 years. Styx should be grateful. That is like saying Enter sandman by Metallica will be their only song people will remember in 50 years because it is so well known just like Mr. Roboto. Pink Floyd managed to pull themselves out of that genre and carve a whole different niche. I tried a lot of their early stuff but soon discovered that I just could not get into anything pre-Dark Side of the Moon.
is this even real? I'm not sure that people could stream music online in the early 90s. so either you had parents who brainwashed you into listening to that stuff or you somehow obtained access to old Styx stuff, which probably could only have been purchased at used record shops in those days, when every other kid in America was listening to Nirvana and Pearl Jam, or rap?I stated listening to Styx in the early 90s when I was ten. Styx started playing music in the 60s right?
