No offense taken. And if you're looking for an altercation, I'm sure someone will oblige you.

BTW, did you happen to see that video of the Bama fan that attacked some OU students during the 2014 Sugar Bowl -- link here.
no I typically don't keep up with other teams too much.

hope folks were ok.

Try this…Bama game. Tennessee receiving a kickoff. Referee says a player on the front on the return team raised his hand over his head causing a fair catch. Never has happened. Well ok….the returner catches the ball at the 7 yard line and it’s blown dead for the fair catch. Ball is spotted at the 7. Now…fair catch on the kickoff, ball gets spotted at the 25 right??? Nope, not on the Bama game, stayed at the 7. Complete and total BS!!!!

That's pretty bad!

I can stomach incompetence much easier than systematic bias. Hopefully the SEC doesn't have much systematic bias. The Big XII did.

I don't think anyone was hurt -- the Bama fan was just flat drunk and embarrassed herself. (I believe the security folks escorted her out of the stadium.)

Hmmm. I would be surprised if I change my mind on those two points (OU is strong this year and JA has a high ceiling).
You are basically replacing most of both lines. This is a LOS league. I think that will be the difference in this game for Tennessee.

Howdy Vols. I'm looking forward to our Sept 21 game in Norman. I'm planning on watching it via television -- but I'm sure the game will have a great atmosphere for anyone attending in person. It should be a real dog fight. I'm sure Heupel will be warmly received -- he's still very remembered and loved by Sooner faithful.

Good luck to the Vols in every game except the one in Norman!

We appreciate the "striped" treatment your fans accorded Tennessee during our first visit to Norman; it triggered the recent emergence of checkerboarding all of Neyland Stadium for big games.

Stick around. Volnation is the best fan forum you’ll find. OU/TN is one of the games I’m most excited about. Hopefully our respected teams put on a show with Vols on top of course lol. Welcome to the SEC, and horns down forever!

I’ve always liked Oklahoma, psyched to have y’all join the conference. Me and a friend are coming for the game, very excited to experience game day in Norman! Staying for the weekend so If there are any restaurants or bars you’d recommend I’d appreciate it.

Nathan05 -- I hear you. Longhorns are typically so arrogant that you find yourself rooting against them no matter who they play!

I'm a little surprised that the Longhorns are getting so much pre-season love considering how many starters they lost after last year. It's interesting that they're picked to do so much better than OU given the fact that we beat them last year.
Same can be said of Bama, Georgia, Florida & USCe

You're just hoping they have attrition at QB, the reality is this kid coming up could actually be even better than what they lost. He's like a top 10 OU recruit all time, rating wise. Sure it's possible in that big a moment he folds like a cheap tent but he could also Spencer Rattler us and destroy our rather green secondary. Never know.

It’s interesting that you bring up Spence Rattler, because Venebles has been renowned for his ability to steal signs without explanation as to how. Thankfully, we have an idea on how Rattler pulled it off. All the same, the toughest team will win, home or away.

Howdy, yourself. We are glad to have Oklahoma in the SEC and hope our fans can get along when we’re not playing one another. We have our people who don’t know how to act in public, same as anyone, but most of us are pretty friendly as long as you’re not trashing our Vols.

Okay, here is a heads up on things to look forward to:

The week of the game there will be absolutely wild predictions. The Vols could all be ambulatory and the predictions will generally favor the Vols.

We hate Florida. I hate Florida especially. As stated in another thread, I drove through Gainesville once and hated myself for a week.

Thirdly, and you do not want to miss this: the "Girls of X" threads. Especially the:
Girls of Florida (hatred of the gators does not overcome evolutionary biology)
Girls of Georgia
Girls of Alabama
And when God is good to us, the Girls of Ole Miss.
Generally the rest of the SEC is good too, well, except for Vandy. I'm looking forward to the eventual Girls of Texas as I have been in Austin on Guadalupe in the late afternoon and it was glorious.

Welcome to the SEC Oklahoma fans. The negative: wins will be much harder week in and week out.

The positives: Texas will get their ass kicked a lot more.

Gal should have been dropped from the upper deck of the stadium. Purely for research purposes, understand? Just to test the idea that if she was higher than a kite, could she fly on an updraft, kind of thing.

Did you have to bring Texas with you? They’re already almost as insufferable as Bama fans with their “SEC begged us to join the league”, “we’re the Real UT”, “we already won the SEC last year since we beat Bama”, etc. 0-12 would suit me fine for them. Welcome to the SEC.

Would you rather have Heupel as HC
Or
Keep Venebles as HC
Venables. It has worked out really well for both of them. JH is in a great position and the reason I joined this board a couple of years ago. He's done well, UT is on the upswing and will be competing with OU for championships in the next couple of years. BV has cleaned up most of the mess that was the fool's gold of LinCON Riley, so I expect that we will continue to beat texus and most everyone else regardless of conference.

I think that UT and OU will become the Georgia/Alabama dominators of the past few SEC seasons shortly. It should be good times. UT fans seem to be good people who love their team and hate the right opponents. You are right on track with rising impatience with the fake ut/texus. texus sucks! It has been painted on the street on campus for more than 40 years. texus sucks!

See you in Norman.
