The value of a class with 28 recruits ranked 15th in the nation should not be discounted. I feel a little disappointed that our coaches had to work as hard and smart as they did to get it. Their shortcomings during the 2016 season caused their recruiting hardships, at least to some extent, so I hope they are now resolved to prepare players better for the 2017 season. Some folks have made an issue of Auburn and Florida leap-frogging Tennessee, leaving our class ranked 7th in the SEC. Personally, I would not trade our Tennessee class straight up for either of those two. I'd rather have a couple of our under-rated recruits than Florida's five star quarterback, because Tennessee looks good at that position. A small number of the class seem too light to play this fall. but some of the recruits should make an immediate impact. They are all where they need to be and where they want to be. Developing into a great SEC team is a grand thing. I hope they all keep that goal foremost in their minds and never stop pushing themselves until the last whistle of the final game. Best of luck to them all. Go Vols!
