Pretty astute observation.. and when it’s the reverse in control it’s basically the same thing with different actors

Was thinking about this also. It's like watching reality TV. One side is the Kardashians, the other side is Real Housewives, and they just go back and forth with each other.

Yes, Nancy Pelosi childishly tearing up the transcript of Trump's speech was eventually going to have some sort of tit-for-tat response. So, any sort of juvenile conduct is fair game during the State of the Union Address from now on, I guess, with civility and mature behavior being a thing of the past.

However, Marjorie Taylor Greene should be advised that the way she reacted to Biden's taunts last night, was exactly what Biden's speech writers were likely aiming for. They probably even had her and Boebert in mind while writing those passages about Social Security and Medicare. She isn't politically savvy enough to realize when she is being baited with taunts by an opponent.

I will say that among the bloviating, 2 valid points were made by Biden :

1) Republicans never attempt to reduce spending when a Republican is President.

2) Republicans will want to take credit in front of their constituents for the groundbreaking of infrastructure projects that they voted against in spending bills. This has, in fact, already happened.

You make some fair points, Republicans do need to curb spending, and they really let those of us who voted down in that regard .. you would think everyone would eventually get tired of fighting, but I don’t think it will happen 😂..Tit for tat indeed 😂but you have to admit Biden was kind of being as we say, a pot stirrer lol

The goal of that speech was obviously to push some right-wing buttons. Biden's speech writers don't really believe that Republicans want to ditch Social Security. That was in the speech to spark anger from the "emotionally charged" Republicans in the gallery. MTG gave them what they wanted. She should have just ignored it.
