Sour Grapes from Oregon

If that's your definition of a NC then I'm sure you need to get your brain checked out.

No what im saying is it sounds like you dont care that your #2 you where all about being number 1. You just have some really green and yellow glassess on, you will never understand or fully comprehend what we are saying. I could verbally fight better with a wall than i can with you on this subject.

What quacks me up about you duck fans is your spin on words spoken. You posted the quotes yourself, and yet not once did Brown's parents tell him he COULD NOT go to Oregon. They simply told him to make a spiritual decision, which was the plan all along from what I can gather. They're a very religious family and they just wanted to make sure he made the right decision for him. If spiritually he had chosen Oregon, he would have gone to Oregon. Yes he loves Oregon, but after praying and thinking it over, it just wasn't the right fit for what he wants to do. So please, stop saying that his parents wouldn't "let" him go to Oregon.

No, I don't care that we are #2 in loudest ever noise in a stadium. Get it? Got it? Good

Wheaton. My God...

I accept your surrender on those points.

Wheaton your team will never be anything more to the rest of the nation than 'That team with all the jerseys.' Now sit down and contemplate that for awhile

In your dreams. Oregon is appreciated by fans all over the nation, including many in Tennessee.

You my friend have a nice moral victory.

There's no victory. It's just a simple observation in response to a false claim.

Knowing that we won't have a head-case at the RB position, whose parents make decision for him.

I appreciate having a co-fan over here. But, I can't agree with this one. Him considering his parents input doesn't make him a head-case.

wheaton there was an espn outside the lines special on loud stadiums several years back in which the designer of autzen described the physics behind the curvature of your stadium design in directing the fan noise onto the field...lane stadium at va tech is the same way and i can vouch for the fact that it gets very loud there but it is mostly due to acoustics. neyland at it's best is by far the loudest place in the nation due to the fact that we have far more fans...people in oregon can't magically yell louder than everyone else.

You call my statements ridiculous and you buy into the curvature of the stadium as being the cause of the noise.

Then you go on to say that the same is true at Lane Stadium. Sorry. I've been to both stadiums. They are both loud due to fans. But, they couldn't be more different from each other in design. Autzen is curved and closed all around. Lane is tiered, not symetrical and includes huge gaps between sections. They do not share anything design-wise.

What are you trying to argue, that there are little walls at the top edges that bounce the noise back in? That the angle of the people is different so that sound bounces off of them downward? At least make a concrete argument for why a stadium is louder acoustically.

You're right that Oregon can't magically yell louder than everyone else. They do it by yelling louder, more often. No brain surgery or acoustics required.

I'm glad he spiritually picked UT, I just don't think that's the format of picking a school.

And yet were still louder!!! LOL

PURE OWNAGE

55-32<57-33

You may have a louder stadium "now", but we have a better record over the last 6 seasons. Seems like all you can brag about is our stadium is louder than yours...cool. We care more about winning than measuring decibels.

You guys went 5-7 while Oregon went 10-3(and playing on a 5th string QB the whole season)

It was an epically bad season that resulted in the firing of a man who was 100 games over .500 in his time here.

It's all about expectations, my friend.

Please show up at Neyland stadium in about 18 months....you will get it.

The place is so big it should have its own zip code.

Yes...UO had a better record and would've kicked our butts this past year. I'll give you that. We had an atrocious offense. We had a great Defense, though...and its gotten a major lift in the past 4 months. Be honest....how do you think Oregon would have faired had it played an SEC schedule? Truthfully.

How many of your "powerhouse" 10 win seasons would've ended around .500?

I'd love to hear this one!

Edit*** This was directed at his Duckyness...if you couldn't tell.

Expectations huh?

Well Oregon wasn't expected to win many games when they went to their #5 QB, yet they still managed a 10-3 record.

So much for expectations

When i think of tradition, i think of a school that's stays true to its colors and scheme , they don't need to sell a different wardrobe almost every week to attract attention, i mean at least Oregon doesn't have to worry about that..

Identity crisis much?

Hey Oregon you don't have to be like Paris Hilton, its ok to wear the same uniform in two consecutive games.

I'd love to see that.

I'm not trying to hurt you pride guys, but Oregon has been recorded loudest ever. If you have something else to prove that it's not, then just STFU

you shut up, goofball. you are so pathetic. you're arguing about how loud your stadium is and not about anything that actually matters.

facts not opinions---

Your largest crowd ever was 59,379 against Arizona State. 109,061 saw Tennessee beat Florida 30-28 in 2004, but who's counting? So what if we beat you by nearly 50,000 attendees? (even though that's nearly your stadium's full capacity)

I mean I'm sure 5 monkeys squawking in a phone booth is pretty loud if you stick your head in it, but I doubt many people would find that offer to be very appealing.

more facts---

Your first outright Pac-10 title was in 1994. You've been a member of the Pac-10 since 1964 (that's 44 years) and yet it stands as one of only two unshared crowns.

Oregon has never won a national championship in its entire history and has only 2 unshared conference titles in the past 44 years. You have no room to brag about anything that's not completely pointless garbage.

I accept your surrender on those points.

Wheaton I didn't even read those points. You post these long novels on here and expect everyone to read over and evaluate them. Hence the 'My God' part, as in please stop doing that.

Also, ask anybody outside of Oregon what they think about Oregon football and you will get a response of "Oh yeah aren't they the ones with all those uniforms?" If it smells like bacon, and tastes like bacon; it's bacon.

I guess we can never know, can we?

The pac-10 was supposed to be a horrible conference and yet managed to go 5-0 in bowl games.

How did SEC do in bowl games(I'm being serious, I actually don't know the stat)?

I never said he parents wouldn't "let" him go to Oregon.

Right, you'd rather get a recruit to hire Tom Cruise to measure his theton's with an E-METER. I don't understand how you can intelligently argue that Oregon is better than Tennessee.

This in no way addresses my point, but I'll give you a golden star for effort - you gave it your best shot.

How many bowls have you appeared in ducky? 21 I believe with a 8-13 record Tennessee 48 with a 26-22 record which might i add a winning record in bowls for us.

I believe the SEC's record was 7-2. That includes a National Championship win over Oklahoma, an impressive win over an 11-1 Texas Tech team by a 3 or 4 loss Ole Miss team, and a complete beat down of Ga Tech and their high powered triple option attack by an LSU team that was starting a true freshman at QB and had struggled all year.
