Sour Grapes from Oregon

Love to hear how some of Tennessee's running backs are doing in the NFL.

Reuben Droughns, Maurice Morris, Jonathan Stewart are some running backs from Oregon currently in NFL.

:lolabove::lolabove:Ok that is offically that funniest statement I have heard all night.

Jamal Lewis! Held single game rushing record before AP broke it. Was the 2003 NFL offensive player of the year. Had a 2,000 yard season. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't he the guy that took over when the Browns decided the Droughns was a hack?

Travis Henry was a great back (too bad he was a nut job)....Pro Bowl selection. Was leading the league in rushing at one point before injuries and cocaine forced him out of the NFL.

1-Wow, one guy. How many NFL RB's have we had in the NFL in the last decade compared to yours? I'd bet more.
2-Who cares about preseason polls, it's postseason that matters. LSU started 7th and weren't ranked postseason. Auburn was 10th and unranked postseason. What is your team's all time win record to Tennessee's? I'd guess at least 100-150 games behind.
3-Whoopdie doo! Would you rather have a balanced offense or one sided? Would you rather play against the best competition or mid-level defenses?

Would you rather play with NFL experienced coaches or a terd/urine colored team?

I love how all your answers are either:
"Who cares"
"Wow one guy"
"Whoopdie doo!"

Pretty funny

Look from what I have gathered Oregon fans know alot about their team but when it comes to anybody outside of that godforsaken state they have absolutely no clue. So let's just chalk this one up to ignorance and go home

Dodged the question, huh?

over the past 10 years (1998 - 2007), the Pac-10 actually leads the SEC 9-6 (.600).

Just checked that up, not sure about the 08-09 season though, but there you go

So, we're talking about USC beating up on a McFadden-less Arkansas? Good.

Now...How would OREGON have faired in SEC play this past year?! Or any of your other magical season, for that matter?

LOL, hahahaha. You do know that someone is gonna come up with a list of UT NFL players and compare it to the mighty Ducks, and then you are gonna look like a stupid dumbie.

When i think of tradition, i think of a school that's stays true to its colors and scheme , they don't need to sell a different wardrobe almost every week to attract attention, i mean at least Oregon doesn't have to worry about that..

Interesting. When we think of tradition, colors are about the most superficial thing on the list. Innovation is one of Oregon's traditions.

Wheaton I didn't even read those points. You post these long novels on here and expect everyone to read over and evaluate them. Hence the 'My God' part, as in please stop doing that.

You only need to surrender once.

Also, ask anybody outside of Oregon what they think about Oregon football and you will get a response of "Oh yeah aren't they the ones with all those uniforms?" If it smells like bacon, and tastes like bacon; it's bacon.

Yes. I'm sure that you're asking people outside of Oregon about football all the time. So, you would know a lot about this.

I, being an Oregon fan, naturally do bring it up whenever the subject of CFB comes up. Some people do mention the uniforms. But, more often than not, people talk about Dixon, Stewart and Chip Kelly. It just depends on whether or not they are ignorant of the game, fans of college football in general or just plain homers.

BTW happy St Patty's Day Duckies

Thank you. To you as well! Looking forward to corned beef and cabbage tonight.

i did not argue that they have the exact same acoustical engineering but i would argue that both stadiums were designed with the intent of maximizing the level of fan noise that can be concentrated onto the field. it's nothing to be embarrassed about hokies being from an engineering school are proud of the fact that the acoustics of the stadium make it louder. i have been in lane stadium when it is empty and if one person stands on the field and another in the top row of the east sideline the person on the field can here the other person speak in a normal voice without shouting.

I've been to a lot of stadiums. Some had curves just like Oregon. Some had flat partitions like Lane. Unless you can point out what feature of the design causes the loudness, I think it's a weak argument. All stadiums are designed to focus noise onto the field in as much as they are all relatively cone shaped.

You could throw in Bartholomew be he was a back

Help me out guys...I know I am missing someone

wacky becomes wackiness.
duck/ducky should become duckiness. (if there was such a stupid word)

you are annoying.

your football team sucks.

you misspell words that don't exist.

you are all "blah, blah, blah Jonathan Stewart: 836 rushing yards in his 1 NFL season."

we are all "blah, blah, blah Peyton Manning: NFL Super Bowl MVP."

Sorry, but there is no answer to that question unless a team from the pac-10 goes to SEC or vice-versa.

A truthful answer would cause an uproar among you fans,

Wow, Shawn Bryson still plays? I'm kind of sad I didn't know that since he was one of my favorite Vols of all time. How many FB's have had the ability to not only throw outstanding blocks and pick up the blitz, but to also have game changing speed and the ability to take it to the house from anywhere? Dude was just a complete beast for UT. Oh there's the reason I didn't know he was still playing... it's for the Lions.

I think this argument would be futile since it relies so much on conjecture and is thus prone to bias. Let me guess, we will say they would have fared well and then you will say they wouldn't. Doesn't get us anywhere.

I misspell words? NVP? Is that some kind of vocabulary word that you use down there in the south?

He played for the Lions in 2006, then was cut

James Stewart is still in the NFL but he was drafted in 95

God Wheaton you give me a reason to hate Oregon. You are THE most delusional fan in the history of this site. Worse than any bammer, gator, hell anyone from the SEC. You aren't arguing you're just spouting out some bs answer and taking it as an absolute fact. Get off this site BB didn't sign with ya'll go protest at a KFC bc they kill chickens to cook their food.

upon further review that list seems old but it still serves the purpose of prooving how many more backs we've put in the league in the past ten years
