Eh. I think we should've gotten the chance at a FG there, but lost the game with Spurrier's idiotic clock management (what's new there) and the anemic offense. Can't win with 13 points against anyone.
Disappointing to say the least, but not unexpected. Was thinking 9-3 pre season as a realistic projection and looks like that may be optimistic.
No way you get the fg unit on the field- get over that- maybe one shot at end zone
they could've had a shot at throwing it in the end zone.
Impressive win for the Barn and sux for the Chickens. There was clearly some time left but the ref did not blow the whistle before the time expired. "Human element" makes no sense to me. I thought the whole point of reviews is to make sure they get the play right.
Clock starts when ball is placed
Right but you do realize the refs would've taken time to go huddle, then announce 'Please add 1 second to the game clock'. That takes time and that could've given them enough time to get a FG unit. Who knows if they can snap it in time from whistle but they could've gotten the unit on.
In real time if they stop the clock in time, sure, but the fact that they didin't and would've had to go back and add one second would have given SC some time.
Irrelevant in the end, not the reason SC lost.
It would have been stupid to add 1 second after they review & let the fg team get set. Would have been a total screw job against Auburn. It would have been virtually impossible to get lined up & even get a play off if they had left a second on the clock. A hail Mary would have been best case scenario but probably save Garcia another int.

It is what it is but would have been a bigger dilemma if they let them attempt a fg. Didn't change the inevitable.

I disagree. It would suck for Auburn - but that's how it should've gone down with the current rules. It was clear there was time on the clock and that is definitely reviewable.
