Not to derail this thread but I keep saying we need to stop worrying about how the start of WW2 applies to current events and instead look at how the end of WW1 applies to current events. The russians were key to keeping the ISS going.
I’d read that. Go on please.

It's one of the few "normal" interactions we have with them I would like to keep it. If nothing else consider it a chance to keep our enemies close. And as a shared asset it should be less of a target than if there were no Russians allowed.

We were equal in that respect. We didn't have the transportation, they didn't the parts needed for repairs and regular maintenance.

Hubble has spotted a 20,000,000 solar mass black hole traveling through intergalactic space leaving a 200,000 light year trail (twice the diameter of the Milky Way) of newly formed stars behind it. In theory according to the article these stars are being formed from the gasses in intergalactic space being compressed ahead of the black hole. BTW it's traveling well over a million MPH.

I don't know why it's compressing the gasses instead of eating them. That and everything else about it is above my pay grade.

Maybe it is eating them, then pooping. It is pooping stars at 1,000,000 MPH.

We need more minds like Gene Rodenberry's in our world leadership.
This planet will never get any bigger so wars will always be a potential circumstance as humanity continues to populate.

The governments of the world need to focus on reaching new worlds

The current prevailing hypothesis is that the Earth is actually expanding.

I realize that wasn’t the point of your post.

We'll just pack up our madness and take it with us wherever we go. We'll always find something to fight about.

I like space travel, yet have doubts about your suggestion. Humans are inherently self-destructive. Exporting follies, stupidity, destructive behavior to contaminate another world, naw, I don't think God will allow it. If we're too stupid to take care of Earth, to get along with each other here, no reason to believe we'll change if we relocate, no reason at all.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
