How bout Devrin Young stepping up for a couple of nice returns?! I had thrown the towel in on the DY experience too like everyone else, but he had a decent return game Saturday. Doesn't make up for the 2 previous years of stinch tho!

Young did very good yesterday. I had been critical of him the first three games. He had a great game against Georgia!

I thought special teams as a whole were better. Had that one punt return that we didn't cover well, but we almost blocked a couple of punts, Darr's punts were much, much better (apparently he's been a little bit hurt), and Palardy looked good on his field goal.

Classless a$$wipes in this thread. I would love to come to your work and tell you that you suck at your job and should be replaced by some new guys that have barely learned how to badge in.

He is terrible. I wonder where he ranks all time in terms of total number of returns in UT history.

1. Willie Gault 78
2. Leonard Scott 77
3. Devrin Young 64 (including 2014 stats)
4. Corey Larkins 63
5. David Oku 49

Ranks third in career kickoff return yards with 1,485, next No. 2 Leonard Scott (1,788) and Willie Gault (1,854)
Ranks second in career total kick & punt return yards with 1,797, next No. 1 Willie Gault (2,513)

Young will always get criticized for not being able to take one to the house. He's been serviceable and consistent throughout his career so there is no reason to pull him for an unproven guy. I get the reasoning behind it and I know why he's back there it's just that he presents no home run threat. Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a true home run threat back there for a change like Ev. Berry. I think our return game could use another face, at least temporarily, it would also help the transition for next year by getting some real returns in for the young guys. But thats JMO

Young's KOR average for the game was 26+ with a long of 39 and yet people give him grief.

As for taking a knee, pray tell exactly on what kickoff would that have been? On the opening KO it was to the GL and returned 29. The 2nd was a TB and no other KO went in the endzone.

Watching Young return kicks is like watching a drunk friend try and pick up a really hot chick. He's got the initiative and might make some good moves at first but in the end, ultimately he does not score.

So he's third all time in returns and third in kick yardage and you think he's terrible? I'm going to Assume that the field of probability and statistics/ averages isn't your area of expertise.

Your friend needs to get the girl really drunk...it is easier that way

Yeah you're really showing some class. It's a message board. People have different opinions. Pull up your menses soaked man panties and get over it.

He has had the 3rd most attempts, ranking 3rd in yards would simply be expected. Nothing great. I am confident you have no area of expertise.
