Spectrum vs. Disney -- A Development Tracking Thread

I am hoping it has ended though - YouTube TV is NOT cheaper if I get the channels I would have with Spectrum. I looked at FuBo which has the channels I want and it is the same price.

I don't know where you folks are getting that these other channels are cheaper. They are not for the same content. They all are very much the same cost.
It just depends on what kind of deal you have on your cable. When I cut the cord my cable + internet bill was around $190. Currently paying right at $100 for YTTV and RedZone and $35 for internet, so saving close to $700 a year. Full disclosure I did switch my phone carrier to Spectrum to get the deal on the Internet for 3 years. I should have fiber available by the time the deal ends.

If you have Spectrum and want to ditch your cable boxes and just stream off their app, now that they've worked out a deal, go to your local Spectrum office. You'll save $12 for each cable box you don't have anymore. I got in front of a sharp young guy a few months ago that knew how to work a deal. I dropped Spectrum Silver down to "Select", streaming only now and dropped my bill from over $200 + per month down to $96. $46.99 for TV with pretty much all the channels I had, but ditched HBO and Showtime, added Golf Channel and one or two others at no charge. $19.99 per month for high speed internet plus "other taxes, fees, surcharges" gets it to $96/month. To get this, I had to add a mobile line which I did, but bought the iPad instead of a phone since my wife didn't have an iPad. That's an additional $16.99/month for the iPad. Other than that, we go a la cart on just a few apps.
