For most of our exit guys I hope it turns out to be a win/win. We need space if we are going to add from the portal. Does anybody have any reason to believe we are looking to pick up a bunch, or are we cherry picking a few difference makers?

I'm glad to hear that Boo will be better, that's awesome news. Squirrel is 7th in receptions in school history.

Isn’t the portal and NIL great? So good for the game and these young men. Oh well, as long as people feel like there’s some perceived equality in opportunity now who cares if the sport suffers and the fans eventually go away. It’s what we all wanted - RIGHT??

Squirrel White was banged up, so this was not his best year. Still, we have seen that guy do amazing things. Wish he would stay, but if he is leaving he has my high regards and good wishes.

It’s all about the money. Every single decision now in college football from recruiting, playing time, the portal, playoffs, tv viewership. ALL about the money. Because somebody somewhere said a free education, world class training, medical care, and nutrition weren’t enough while schools take in millions through their athletic departments. And, because a few players said they didn’t have enough money to go to the movies we blew the whole system up. It’s just so stupid and the people that wanted all this are probably the ones complaining the loudest when their favorite player bolts for a bigger payday

Yeah, we should find those boosters who started paying players beyond their scholarships in the late 50s and through the 60s and the 70s and the 80s......

You act like money hasn't been motivating kids to attend schools for decades and decades. It comes out of the shadows and BOOM Bryce Young is a millionaire days later.

Oh yeah, it started in just the last few years. 🤦‍♂️

Put yourself in Squirrels shoes. At this point it is easy to see he doesn’t have much of a future in the nfl. He needs to make the most money possible next year, so why not see what offers are. If he can’t get more than we have offered, he will probably still be invited back.

I'm more comfortable with Squirrel leaving then am I am some of the younger guys...SW isn't big enough or fast enough any more...he seemed more shifty and quicker early on, but he has lost more then a step or 2..and when you're alot receiver can't separate from a LB (which should be slower,) the. That's an issue

It should be alarming that this HC is in the portal every year for WR, TE, and OL. Our best performing WR's & TE's are transfer players not recruited & developed players. Yet we still see no change at those coaching positions.

Squirrel shown flashes but never consistency
Need long rangy was for the deep ball. He is too fragile for middle of field possession guy. Until CJH gets rid of the wart at OC 50/50 balls are the norm.

Schools CHOOSE to do this and have for a long, long, long time but now, suddenly, when it's in the open it's bad for the sport? Guess what, it always was and is nothing new.

And it's the schools, like UT and the boosters, who've pushed this for decades.

I can't blame the players like Nico because guys fly a private jet out to get you, treat you like an executive, and offer you $2M/yr to play football. I'd have taken that deal or a similar deal, wouldn't you?

The people we should blame are in Knoxville. They've arranged this for years and years. All the athletes did was grow up and play ball really well.

Amen brother. Some say it’s gonna destroy the game, I say it already has. We just don’t understand or see the degree of destruction that awaits
