Stafford is a big dude with a big arm. He's gonna get big money. His lifelong hero is John Elway, and I can see him being every bit Elway in the NFL.

it's good to see that we have both ends of the spectrum.

stafford=kelly
stafford=elway

which one will it be????

who cares. good ridence to matty and crew from ahole town.

how bout them vols!

Eh. Good for them to make money I guess. I have a feeling Mr Stafford will not last in the NFL unless he really works on his mental part of the game.

Big arm. Poor decisions. Sort of mobile but not really. Never really did much despite tons of supporting talent. Lost to a crappy UT team despite having a big lead for most of the game (I know Tereshinski played mostly). Sounds like Jamarcus Russell.

I see him doing better in the NFL then he did in college. Put in a system that fits him. he reminds me of Leftwhich without the low slow release.

so did health shular, ryan leaf, tim couch.....jury still deciding on matty.

If, you can't spell the name of a prior UT QB correctly. You need to go back to school before posting another comment. Although, several on here have repeatedly typed Kiffen instead of KIFFIN, lol.

So why not start making money a year earlier?

Exactly! Stafford will be a 1st round pick,and will be a very wealthy young man,plus I think he will be just fine in the NFL ranks....with the right coaching staff.

I don't really care what he decides. I'm just wondering how UGA fans will react. This guy was supposed to make David Greene look like Seth Green. He didn't win anything and now he's bolting early. It's got to be pretty disappointing.

They will trash him. UGA fans will give you complete unquestioning adoration if things start out well, but when they turn on you, it's bitter and it's forever. Cf. the career of Quincy Carter: when he was at UGA, I had more than one UGA fan tell me that he was going to be the best QB in the history of the SEC, and now you can't find anybody to say a good word about the guy. When they give up on you, they treat you like an ex-girlfriend.

Are you serious??? Those people must be dumber than I though if they believed QC was the best SEC QB of all time. Stafford,like any draft is a gamble,but at least he has a strong arm/height/tools to become an NFL QB..... I still wonder about his decision making though,but I think he will be coached up and will do fine.

I never actually heard any UGA fan tell me that they thought he WAS the best; merely that they thought he was GOING to be the best. This would have been during or after his freshman season. Sometime in the middle of the next year, the entire UGA fanbase seemed to collectively decide that he wasn't that good after all, and by the time he went pro after his junior year, he and the Bulldog Nation just seemed glad to be rid of each other.

I would say Stafford wasn't the problem this year. He is gonna be a good pro.

I say, have fun in Detroit.

I don't care if Stafford comes back we beat him 2 out of 3 years and we played GA tough this year until late. We even held Moreno down untill the 4th qurater. Who cares, just announce it already and move on.

We can agree that he is probably the next Elway, but you might check his stats in their losses over the past couple years.

Since Stafford is more than likely going to Detroit, I dont think he will have the chance to be the "next Elway" with that team. I dont think Elway would look like Elway playing on the Lions
