Some dude on the AJC comment section of an article about this is saying that Staffords parents moved to Athens 3 years ago? Also implied that they were struggling financially, any truth to this?

A coach I respect who has coached high school and college, including considerable recruiting over a 30 year period ...in a discussion last week...felt Stafford had best NFL potential of the big name QBs this year, i.e. Harrell, Tebow,Bradford, et. al. He stated he would take him as the first QB drafted if he had to draft a QB.

I agree with Hat, make the money while you can. With this economy a player who can get the big bonus money ought to go for it now, who knows what is coming down the line. Although we think it impossible...pro sports franchises could also fold, look how worried some folks are in NASCAR.

You got the skill and talent to play with the big boys...hoorah for you! As much as I hated Jerod Mayo leaving last year, his choice looks like the decision of a genius at this time.

bradford plays behind what many consider to be one of the best overall o-lines in college football. stafford will be better than bradford. by saying he will be the next peyton, i didnt mean that he will be as good as peyton, i just think at some point during his career (if he is not drafted by the lions) he will be the best QB in the league.

he might, but the only true stupid QB that achieved greatness in the NFL played with the best defense ever assembled.

YES! I was hoping these guys would get out of town and move on to the NFL. The rest of the SEC thanks you Mathew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno for leaving early. Maybe Florida will beat UGA twice as bad now that their two best players are gone. Maybe something like 100-14. Hey Tebow, why don't you just go the NFL too, then maybe a team in the SEC besides Bama will come within 25 points of Florida

He might . . . but his scouting report sure does bear a striking resemblance to Akili Smith, Jamarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf . . . .

Stafford and Bradford will probably end up being the top two QBs taken in the draft. From what I read, the Lions love Bradford, so Stafford might end up going to a better team and have a chance to do something.
