Star Wars: Episode VII (December 18, 2015) ***SPOILERS***

Han Solo as the lead? Usually I think of a Jedi being the lead. Like the Skywalkers in the previous two trilogies.

Disney owning Marvel has certainly worked out for the most part. It even forced other studios to up there game when it comes to comic book properties.

So let's wait and see what they do with Star Wars!

Disney haters act like the company doctorine is to insert Micky Mouse as a Jedi and Goofy as a side kick.

They freaked out when Disney bought Marvel too and thought the comics would be forced to be kid friendly.

Actually, it ain't got nothing to do with Disney. It could be Fox, Paramount, etc. I don't even think they'll Disneyfy the movies. I was actually one of the people saying they wouldn't do that. For that matter I got more faith in Disney than Lucas...but not by much.

Disney owned Miramax Films during Tarantino"s prime years.

Worst case scenario, we see Samuel L. Jackson (again) and Uma Thurman in a Kill Bill blood bath with lightsabres and great dialogue.

Mark Hamill at the opening of Guardians of the Galaxy rocking his "contractually obligated" beard.

Interesting note: Hamill is now older then Alec Guinness when he played old Obi-Wan.

I just watched the People vs George Lucas. I highly recommend it for anybody that has any interest in Star Wars and Indiana Jones. It's really good because it made great points for both sides...it had me feeling like Lucas was a bastard, and then it'd make me feel like his fans are the bastards. LOL

I've had that in my Netflix queue for quite awhile. Could never convince the wife to watch it.

The movie could be great, but I'm still disappointed that the entire expanded universe has basically been wiped out. Lots of great stories and expanded history just thrown away.

-Thrawn Trilogy (what I was hoping this trilogy would be)
-Jacen/Jaina saga
-Yuuzhan Vong
-Darth Caedus

just off the top of my head.

I was liking the Ben/Vestara story they were telling, but I guess that's over now.
