Star Wars: Episode VII (December 18, 2015) ***SPOILERS***

Makes sense to me. Though if I were Luke, once I learned that Leia was my sister I'd be a little pissed to find out that she was raised as royalty on planet Switzerland while I was raised a poor as dirt farmer on planet Sahara Desert.

actually, he was a moisture farmer, or his uncle Owen was

So apparently Carrie Fisher lost 35 lbs and this is what she looks like now:

I'm actually having a hard time wrapping my head around this cause:

A. she looked larger than this at the cast reading a couple of weeks ago

B. it looks like she lost more than 35 lbs in that picture

I'm almost tempted to call BS, but ABC News is reporting it so I dunno

I saw a picture a few weeks ago and I think its legit.

In any event, I don't think it matters too much. She wouldn't have been expected to be in a slave girl outfit no matter what in Episode VII anyways.

Unless she is a Jedi in the film, which is a possibility.

Alternatively, they can stick her rumored daughter in one. :boobies:

In other news, filming has begun today:

Pretty much shoots down the rumors of them changing the Star Wars logo, methinks.

Dearest Cast and Crew, What an honor it is to work beside all of you, on Star Wars Ep VII. I can’t thank you enough, for all work past and future. Let’s take good care of not just ourselves, but of each other. Amazing, but true: the world awaits this film. Let’s give ‘em something GREAT. xo JJ

Wow! Even the note has lens-flare! :p

'Godzilla' director to helm first standalone 'Star Wars'

I almost feel like Disney is going to over saturate the market with a SW film every year. Seems odd break up the new trilogy with spinoffs.

I read they want to do "Wars" the way they do Marvel.

Have at least one film every year and a "Episode" film every other year. The way they have Iron Man, Captain America etc.. every other year they then do an "Avengers" film.

That makes sense for Marvel but not as much for Star Wars. There is already a precedence for solo adventures of the Marvel characters then bring them together for an Avengers Team-Up. Star Wars has never operated like that in film.

I understand they want to milk the cow but I think a better strategy would have been either:

1) Start out with a spin-off or two while filming all 3 Episodes at the same time, then release them a year apart like LOTR.

Or

2) film all 3 Eps and release a year apart THEN start spin-offs.

more films = diluted quality

That's one thing I liked about Star Wars, compared to say something like Star Trek. It felt more special, more unique. There weren't a bunch of TV shows and movies.

When people say Disney will "ruin" Star Wars, this is how it would happen. Not by the main films being too kiddy, but by all the spinoffs and saturation.

TMZ gets 45 Pics from the set!!!

Star Wars Episode VII SUPER SECRET SPOILER PICS FROM THE SET!

Star Wars Episode VII SUPER SECRET SPOILER PICS FROM THE SET!

Earlier this month in a galaxy far far away, known as Abu Dhabi, JJ Abrams began filming "Star Wars: Episode VII" ... and TMZ has obtained pics from the ultra-secretive set -- including one GIANT creature.

Jedi sources tell us the new alien was manned by 5 men inside it's belly ... and was used in two scenes taking place in what looks like a Tatooine marketplace (Star Wars nerds get it)

According to reports, producers intend to use less CG in the new movies -- instead, relying heavily on practical effects like the original trilogy ... which is evident in these photos.

We don't wanna give too much away ... but if you're a Star Wars fan, you should probably be clicking through the gallery already.

May the force be with you.

Every time I see Star Wars Vll I cry a little on the inside. Leave it to Disney to ruin my childhood. As if the penis in the little mermaid wasn't enough.
