Announced that an Obi Wan standalone film is going to be made. So far no script or anything, but surely McGregor will be brought back to play him and it will take place between Episodes III and IV.
I've heard some that are tired of Obi Wan's character, but I think a film that takes place when he was in exile could be awesome.
Honestly I wanted a standalone for him ever since they started announcing side story movies; partly because I liked the character but also I thought McGregor was one of the few great things about the prequels and I think he deserves to star in a better SW movie. He's way too good of an actor for the crap Lucas wrote.
The only way it shouldn't be McGregor is if he turns it down, and he's already publicly said he'd do it (plus the rumor he has a cameo in Episode VIII).
And I can't see how it wouldn't be between III and IV; we already saw a young Kenobi in the prequels.
Who could be tired of Obiwan? I'm all for this.
If you watch Rebels and saw Obiwan's brief appearance you could tell he wasn't as isolated as he let on in A New Hope. My only concern is that the whole thing will/should take place on Tattooine which could be boring.
Lots of possible storylines.
How Yoda makes it to Dagoba.
The emperor trying to flesh out Luke and Leias whereabouts.
Being four months out, I would have expected another trailer or two at this point.
I actually appreciate the restrained promotion. I only watched the first teaser and the first full trailer of TFA then actively avoided all other promotions, clips, interviews, etc. made the movie that much more enjoyable.
