So, you believe that it was alright for your ancestors to come over illegally, but now, that you have the benefits of living in America, we should refuse others that opportunity?
If you base what is right or wrong purely on what is legal or illegal you are destined for trouble. Here's the thing...illegal is illegal. If you coast thru a stop sign at wal-mart at 2 AM and get busted for running a stop sign, do you have an arguement?
I guess, thereal, I don't see your point...are you saying 2 wrongs make a right? to me it's not about denying someone an opportunity so much as it is breaking the law. There are avenues people can take to enter the country legally. All said before, but illegal entry causes a host of problems for systems at all levels, including taxes (solved with fair taxes, but another topic).
No. Legality is left to legislatures. Morality is left to individuals to decide. I will clearly state that morals are higher than laws.
Then I guess you agree with honor killings. They are, after all, legal in Iran.Really? What about the Lady in Texas that drown her 5 sons because she felt she had a moral obligation?
And if you live in a land and they have laws, then you are expected to abide by them or face the music. What if your mommy and daddy didn't raise you to have any solid morals? And on it goes...
Then I guess you agree with honor killings. They are, after all, legal in Iran.
