It's why I get on here so rarely now, it's just tiresome.

I don't think anyone would disagree that recruiting has been disappointing up to this point, but we are also only in May and set up well with top shelf players who are commiting late. It's not worth pages and pages of hand wringing.

I guess I finally found out what it means to be a die-hard fan. It means someone who is predisposed to seek out misery. Cause I never heard someone tout their die-hard status while their team is winning.

I agree with your feelings about this class and this season. But you'll never know what it means to be a die-hard fan. You've made that abundantly clear.

This isn't a discussion. It's a constant back and forth of sunshine and misery, with both sides trying to convince the other they are right when in reality the truth lies somewhere in between.

I've always wondered if Jones ever has a free moment and looks at these forums or any Vols forum and just laughs because he probably knows something we don't. I doubt it, but it'd be hilarious.

Just one you don't happen to like. Mind you, I don't either, but I'm not going ***** and moan (that part not directed at you) about people using this forum for exactly what it was intended for.

Not saying I don't agree with your overall tone regarding recruiting, but the idea that "the longer they wait and see if we win, the longer other schools can swoop in and capture their interest" seems to imply that other schools would simply stop their pursuit of kids who had committed to us. We have already seen that is not the case at all, so I'm not sure why we'd think that even if we had 20 commits right now, that other schools would stop trying to swoop in and capture their interest.

someone said earlier we cannot sell early playing time and on field success... GA's in the same boat so how are they reeling them in?? With a new coach and staff I might add.... Things are not trending good here for this class... hope we are successful on the field this season to pull some last minute pickups and set ourselves up for some great kids in '18, but right now it doesn't look like we are gonna get jack squat.

Thank goodness there is tons of football to be played and many decision to be made before this statement can be proven or disproven. Regardless I shall flag it for reference come February.

Seeing some of the posts in this thread makes me not want to get on Volnation. Constant negativity takes away from our normal discussion about a certain topic whether its recruiting or football related. It feels like I'm reading posts by spoiled little brats who whines & cry everytime something doesn't go their way. It's pretty comical IMO.

I've looked on the last page twice today hoping to see something on Jacoby Stevens. No luck. I refuse to go back hunting for fear of more shiz.
