There are multiple factors to consider and the resulting short-tern and long-term impact. There is no proof of that....the question shouldn't be what he like as a person. It should be what does he do for America and Americans..and the proof of poll show Trump is better for America despite being a crappy person..where as Biden is crappy as POTUS and a person
I think that is a legitimate complaint about their admin.
When dust settles, we can write it down that last two Presidents are/were two of the worst in our Nation's short history.
How we only get to choose between a rich 80 yo, and a rich 77 yo is sad. And, in many respects infuriating. Talk about disenfranchisement. The lower white and upper middle/elite whites feel disenfranchised by Dems.
How do we middle class, workers feel? Certainly dont feel any representation. Meanwhile, no viable third party candidate.
We are the only developed Country with no third party. Pendulum only swings far left or right. In a Country of 332 Million. We get these two jackasses.
Fundamentally, I have to choose the person who I can tolerate more than the other.
They are both of them, self serving, elitist aholes. And it sucks. I dont know the answer other than major campaign finance reform & banning electoral college.
But for those reasons, I'm out. And I think a lot of people agree.
They both need to retire. It's what's best for our Country. While we're ranting today. Need to limit terms for Senators, SCOTUS, and give people back their right to choose over their own bodies.Lumping Biden with the sinister, deeply corrupt criminal on the other side is crazy, dude. Seriously.
Funny you talk immediate vs long term...Dems couldnt wait to get Trymp out despite his policies benefiting America and Americans long and short term...but the Dems hate has set us back years...both domestically and internationally which will take long term to recoverThere are multiple factors to consider and the resulting short-tern and long-term impact.
The majority of voters see through the prism of the immediate personal $ impact - which is how we ended up here.
Trump is a narcissistic megalomaniac. Much like a child he leans on emotion, and reactivity to make decisions. That is NOT a good thing for a leader, purported leader. May work well in business, but not in Govt.It isn't just whites. Blacks are still suffering as well (or Americans in general). I hate the entire black/white comparison anyways. We are all Americans. I live in a mixed race family now so it is a big deal to me.
All Americans are suffering right now and there isn't any answers from either side. Trump at least shakes things up so people vote for him because of that even though he really isn't the greatest or aligned with my views as well. The fact that the media goes after him so hard is what turns people onto Trump.
I do think Trump is losing it like Biden though based on recent speeches that I have heard from him.

I cannot speak or opine on thoughts of Black Americans, since I'm not black. Nor are any of my family members. I do however respect and try to arm myself with knowledge of those who may live differently, or more specifically a traditionally marginalized group, sect, whatever. It isn't just whites. Did Obama have horrible policies? My big issue with Trump is that he doesn't listen well to different opinions, doesn't do his homework (often treats government like business and doesn't really care about laws or rules that limit your power), and he isn't professional.
A HUGE part of the Presidential is the image the President portrays. He could have "good" politics but how a President presents himself creates unity and confidence in people (or should). Neither of these guys do it. Obama had horrible policies but he was far more professional than Trump for example.
LOL. He's an angry old codger who was spewing lies after lies as usual. You sat there and lapped it up as a kiss ass would do & gave his angry hateful speech full approval like a dolt..I listened to the whole thing, unlike most here slinging mud. There were some parts Joe struggled to get through, but all in all I thought it was a great speech. Definitely better and more coherent than I have heard Trump recently.

Respect. Its a word that gets thrown around. Empathy, is another. Do we actually use those things?
Sitting in car at a light. Mid day. Adult male, and female - cig in hand, pajamas on. Pull
up in a car next to me. Look over, flag stuck in sun roof, flying overhead reading '**** Joe Biden.'
I'm just thankful my children weren't with me. To me, this embodies so many things that are wrong with our Country.
I don't look at a white dude in 2024 and blame him for slavery, I also don't give current politicians credit for creating our system of government. I agree it was a great system but after years and years of manipulating it and adding more and more power to the fed, today's current government is nothing like what was intended. So no I don't love the government. It's just a conglomerate of out of touch, rich bureaucrats who serve their own self interests.Does the government oppress you in some way? Why do you think American has always been a /great country/? Government! Our system. Unsuccessful countries have bad governments. What did our founders do? They created a governing system for this country that made us great and has stood the test of time.
Did Obama have horrible policies?
Wall Street reform, protection for consumers. all while acting the part and carrying himself way a President/leader of the free World should.
ACA was his black eye.
Getting rid of it will only inspire and galvanize the collectively emotional and child like capacities of those who feel compelled to connect with it. Despite the very socially constructed meaning it carries. Feeling any connection to something that we zero part in is just dumb.Yeah, I don't typically have political paraphernalia on any of my vehicles. It is the same argument for the Confederate Flag (which, ironically, wasn't the official Confederate flag but a battle flag). I can understand the push to get rid of the Confederate paraphernalia because, in my view, it evokes KKK and Segregation as much as it does the Civil War.
