I cannot speak or opine on thoughts of Black Americans, since I'm not black. Nor are any of my family members. I do however respect and try to arm myself with knowledge of those who may live differently, or more specifically a traditionally marginalized group, sect, whatever.

Respect. Its a word that gets thrown around. Empathy, is another. Do we actually use those things?

I'm just thankful my children weren't with me. To me, this embodies so many things that are wrong with our Country.

And I think this is the perfect example of what I mean when I say trumpism has drastically lowered the level of expected/acceptable societal norms.

Trumpism gave the green light to many for staying in and/or playing in the gutter.

Don’t be surprised if Sen Britt doesn’t turn up on the short list for VEEP. She is relatable and checks off a lot of boxes for Trump. The one demographic that could stop Trump will be suburban women. If he can shift that vote only 5 or 10 percent in his favor, he will be golden. The competing arguments from both sides will be abortion from the democrats and inflation and safety from the repubs and they will be aimed squarely at White Suburban women. This is the deciding battleground

Trust me, Bama isn’t a swing state. When i went to vote Tuesday, the clerk already had her hand on the Republican ballot before I told her what party. I am sure they didn’t get many requests for the other one.
