it’s taken a while for me to see just how bad most of our fan base is, especially when it comes to overreacting, but man the NegaVols here are so well represented.

80-90% of the forum never enters the Recruiting forum and probably doesn’t know many non starters on the team. Why is this is an issue? Because you see pop up graphics and don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes and why most (Minus BOT) are happy with the class we pulled (Plus a new 5 star we are getting a late OV with).

I just wanted to break this down for you guys, we are still in sanctions currently and have smaller classes than most with scholarship reductions. However, our average recruit ranking is still top 6-7 in the country, but you many of you don’t understand that.

I am quite happy with this class. Did we get everyone we wanted? No, but no one does. We will see who gets added from the portal moving forward to fill out any spots, but I am very optimistic for this and coming years. Great time to be a vol.

With the way players jump from team to team these days, some of us may not get as excited about a signee who may change his mind 3 or more times before kick off next fall. From what I've seen on X, we seem to have gone after and gotten players we needed *( defense/TE etc ). I feel positive about who has committed, it's just a matter of who stays.

You are right. I just found out that Milton's back up is some kid named Nico. Is he a walk on?

We would all like to see a big shiny number 1, 2, or 3 on this class; I get it.
But once you get outside the very top, there isn’t that much difference between 4 and 10. Our average ranking PER RECRUIT is actually pretty awesome.
Complaining about a class that is already in the barn is just a waste of time. I trust Heupel to get more out of each recruit than any other Vol Coach since Fulmer

TN is currently 11th in per avg recruit and 13th overall. No doubt could have been higher if more prospects were signed.

Over how many recruits? The classes ranked higher just have more guys in them, not that the class is any better. We are just still dealing with scholarship reductions sadly

Because many people were whining without following it the entire year. I hear the word “gatekeeping” and buddy you have no clue. Literally just read the boards and you’ll know what’s going on lol
