Weird. He also noted in that article that he was misquoted on a Bama site that listed Bama and South Carolina as his top 2.

stephon goes to south pointe not RHHS, still they're both in rock hill, and south pointe is new, so they might have gone to school together at some point.:)

Holmes Commits To USC

WR Charles Holmes (6-3 197) of South Pointe committed to USC Friday Night after attending camp there earlier in the day. "I really want to help the program out," Holmes said. "I think South Carolina really fits me. They give their wide receivers a chance after the catch and let them do a lot of things by themselves. I like that." Holmes has some academic work to do to be eligible to enroll at USC next fall, and he plans to get that taken care of. "I'm going to double up this coming year," he said. "I can get it done." Holmes highly regarded teammate, ATH Stephon Gilmore, is a USC target as well, and Holmes hopes his decision will influence his friend to join him. "He told me South Carolina and Alabama are his top two," Holmes said. "He'll probably wait it out." Last season Holmes caught 44 passes for 988 yards and five touchdowns.
