don't think Clemson's in it anymore, we "pushed" him too hard for a commit and he didn't like it. We're looking on from the outside. He'll definitely end up in the SEC.

I dont know if I have ever seen a recruit with so many rumors floating around. Now the prevailing sentiment seems to be that it's a SoCar and Bama battle with the Vols falling off. That's supposedly from an asst coach at his school. who knows?

Gilmore. At this point if he announced for the University of Anchorage I wouldnt be suprised.

So Rex it is starting to look like we have missed on the top choices so far (though things could change). Are you starting to get a little concerned or am I the only one? If we fail to sign two or three top notch kids do think we are in trouble. More specifically do you think we will have to look to Chavis as failing to deliver?

Actually I think we are in fine shape. remember Im very negative, so for me to say that should tell you something. I think how we finish out will have alot to do with the product we put on the field this year.

I'm not so sure that's a factor...I say that because we've had great recruiting classes before and he wasn't much of a factor then either. I think we've all conceded the fact that he just isn't going to put in the time to recruit like every other DC.

I'm personally not concerned just yet...I think we're in for some pleasant suprises. I'm still one of the few crazy people that believe we'll get both Brown and Moses.

From the Clemson site. Gilmore took a visit to Clemson with Holloman this weekend and says that everything went well. He got to talk to the coaches and see how he would fit in if he ended up with the Tigers.

strange recruitment for this guy. he's been to UT more than any other school and has spoke glaringly of his visits and it was thought that we lead for much of his recruitment...

Bama jumped in and given our current struggles and potential for a coaching overhaul there is really no way we can beat bama in a recruiting race.

p.s. he has been telling close friends he will be leaving the state so my best guess is bama
