Still pissed beyond belief...

I've got to give Pooch credit. At least he's shown up to face the music. The rest of the Pearl Patrol has been conspicuous by their absence. I can't believe they aren't standing behind their leader in these tough times. They must not be true fans.

I was thinking the same thing. I respect that.

You didn't just hate his character, you said he wasn't that good of a coach and would be gone in three years when he got here.

I really don't know a college coach at its peak right now that has character.

I mean, I don't hear much about Coach K's recruiting tactics but I know he sure doesn't mind throwing F bombs on live television.

It is hard to sift through the mountain of BS to find one particular pellet from so many years ago. However, I believe Unimane took up that challenge and provided the evidence in question within the last year...

Find that post. I got fifty dollars for you when you do.

Come on, Hat. You said Gillispie would be at UK when Pearl was no longer at UT. And, you weren't saying that was because Pearl would retire first. You also said at the midpoint of the 2008-09 season that Pearl would be gone by, I think the end of the either the 2010 or 2011 season. It was one of those two years - I can't remember which one you implied when you said how many years he had left. Of course, technically, he could still be gone by the end of 2011, if that was the year you predicted.

You got us on Pearl's character. He told on Illinois and several years later turned out to be just like most coaches when it comes to doing what it takes to get the best players. My innocence of thinking Pearl wouldn't break rules was stripped away last week. :cray:

I don't understand why you're so high on the coach of our rival to the north. Every time you have defended that guy while ripping our coach has annoyed the hell out of me. But, you were right that our coach isn't the hero of following the rules that he was made out to be. I can't question you on that point anymore. Granted, the rules he accused Illinois of breaking were much more serious than extra calls and texts. But, our guy still committed major rules violations to help us win. I just hope he doesn't get busted for that again - our program would be slammed.

Nah, some of us just realize that coaches are people too, and, as people, are prone to make mistakes, maybe tell a lie, maybe try to "bend the rules" a little, and eventually get busted doing so. It's the ones that don't learn a lesson and continue doing the same things over and over that don't deserve tolerance....

Guess some people on here are PERFECT, have NEVER told a lie, and definitely have never tried to hide something or cover something up?

Some of you really need to get a life and please, DISMOUNT THE HIGH HORSE!!!! :twocents:
