The offense had an off night and still scored 38 points. The defense had one of the worst performances of any UT team in the last quarter century especially when you take into consideration who they were playing. Take the L and move on. Defense cost UT the game. Hopefully the unit gets back on track against Vandy.

And when did it become acceptable to say......well we scored 38 points and that should be enough, so if they score more than that, that's on the defense for not stopping them

The defense laid down and got ran over, but where's our offense that just ran up the score a week prior. We didn't NEED to score over 60 on Mizzo, but we did (and they have a much better defense than SC). We have the #1 offense in the country, up against a defense that's worse than ours.
Where's the expectation that we actually run up the score when we NEED to?

Well, no.... 38 points should be enough to win ANY college football game if your D even comes close to doing its part. The explanations and recriminations are in full bloom but the bottom line is the D was awful against an AWFUL offense. You can easily understand the D not being able to handle Bama... or even UGA. The O did more than enough to win. The D did not. If you don't take accountability when it is YOUR FAULT then you do not belong in any team sport or enterprise of any kind.

.....THIS. So simple, yet so complicated. Again, I truly hope the players don't read some of the stuff.
