I agree. I'm not sure why it seems to enrage people to say that our offense didn't play as expected either. We're a TEAM and unfortunately, both sides had issues and we got embarrassed by sc....it's really that simple.

My exact thought as well. OP’s take is so off from what we observed it MUST be biased in some way. Honestly OP: friend or family member of a defensive player or coach? This thread is very Hadden-esque…keeps getting burned, but keeps talking.

I think the point is the defense is the defense, its sucked all year but we've won games by continuing to score even tho other teams have scored on us as well, just look at the Alabama game, if our offense had played in that game like they did against SC we would have been blown out in that one too so its not as if the defense was completely to blame, the offense played below their normal standard and the defense did play to its norm.

38 should of been enough. D only stopped SC 1, yes 1 time.
Hard to score when they are driving the ball down field to score again.

Also the HH injury
/fumble took one drive away from the Vols and basically gave USCe their best field position & a TD. That’s a 14 point swing don’t think in big picture it mattered but the D just let USCe have that last TD if they hadn’t quit earlier they definitely did that last drive with SC all starters still in. Beamer lost the cussing contest with Hadden but he rubbed it in with starters still in to the very end.
