If the weather goes as predicted, there will be a huge number of no shows. That makes it imperative that those who can simply walk to the game show up and make themselves heard. Many people on this board, myself included, have ridiculed the student section. Here's your chance to prove us wrong.

If they don't show up for this one, they need to be officially moved to Section 319.

students are treated like second class fans in their and my view...They have made it less convenient to go to BB and FB games. They have to be given some incentive when we ware not winning beyond the fact WE ARE TENNESSEE and as a student you must go.

You don't have to tell me twice. This is one of the few games I actually get to go to since I have night classes 3 days a week this semester. I'll be there for sure.

i am one of the students that will be there early and be loud win/loose. i will be there at 8 AM on sunday. i know student support in general sucks but i think the crowds have been very good since the kansas game. hopefully this will keep up.

who cares if they get moved to section 319? Hamilton just moved them out of their best seats (section D) and apparently it was a fair trade to switch D for sections J and K.

I understand how you feel. The students for the most part are lame and don't show up in full force. However, some of us do show up to almost every sporting event and cheer and try to get other students into the game. Taking away Section D does suck, even though I know it is a rule. I'd rather sit in the upper deck now than the end zone.

It doesn't look like we'll see much melting action on Saturday or Sunday. So if we really do get dumped on getting to the game could be an issue even for those of us in K-Town.

I hope not.

Would you have rather Hamilton ignored SEC rules and incurred big fines?

You are to be commended for that. It's important folks like you double your efforts for Sunday's game.

I seriously hope you're not whining about a move that will give our team an advantage in the late-Summer heat.

If it gives our team that much of an advantage then we're a poorly conditioned team. The disadvantages of having the bands and student section behind our team are over-rated as well. I don't sit in the student section. I sit in y-9 in season ticket seats. But if I was using student tickets and didn't get a ticket on the right side of E I would go up to the upper deck in the top corner where there's always empty seats and watch the game from there. Much better view.

I did get to sit in D rows 10-20ish several times. Seats don't get much better than that.

If we can get the salt trucks up on Cherokee Trail I'll be there. It doesn't look like all this will be melting until late Sunday afternoon, but if there's a way I'll be there.
