Students, Sunday It's On You.

If we can get the salt trucks up on Cherokee Trail I'll be there. It doesn't look like all this will be melting until late Sunday afternoon, but if there's a way I'll be there.
Sounds like a good time to grab a couple of cases of beer and head to a friend's place in the Fort.

i am one of the students that will be there early and be loud win/loose. i will be there at 8 AM on sunday. i know student support in general sucks but i think the crowds have been very good since the kansas game. hopefully this will keep up.

You're the exception...I think maybe you should keep your nose in a book.

If the weather goes as predicted, there will be a huge number of no shows. That makes it imperative that those who can simply walk to the game show up and make themselves heard. Many people on this board, myself included, have ridiculed the student section. Here's your chance to prove us wrong.

Hat, if the whole student body was familiar with you, and your insight, and disparagement of the current coaching situation, they would be motivated by your words.

Crap, you made me consider the feasibility of a flight from Hartford to Knoxville into a snowstorm, alas, i have a mortgage to pay. Bravo, my friend

Mild Threadjack: Due to ice and snow and our team's prospective, when should I probably get to TBA for seats in the third row of risers? Last year this wait was 10ish hours for a 7:00 game, with of course the running of the bulls at the end. Anyone think I should get there more than 3 hours in advance?

That's my average Saturday. Easier to get a ride/cab/walk to a friend's place than trek back to Lenoir City.

Field sobriety tests aren't my thing.

You people really need to man up and just go. This little flurry is nothing. They were even saying on the news tonight that the roads were OK. They were saying to "watch out for the parking lots". Really, the parking lots?

Having lived in Chicago and Syracuse this is nothing and is no excuse for anyone in the Greater Knoxville area from getting to the game.

The roads were mostly treated with a salt solution. Parking lots generally aren't. I imagine UT will have some lots cleared, but the top deck beside the Arena is probably a mess.

After the last snow-thing, I almost crashed pulling into the Brewery, thanks to an iced over top deck.

The students are a joke. They just stand around in their bowties and khakis with their little baggies of Jim Beam in a sad attempt to prove they're 21. Then, a lot of them leave at the 14:00 mark in the second half.

Funny coming from a guy that will defend Steven Pearl to the death and swears by Bruce's X's and O's.

Have you ever driven up there? It is bad enough when there isn't snow and ice. It is maybe within hang gliding distance if you get on top of that water tower...

I had a friend that left the South Carolina game this year (the one that was pouring rain) and WALKED back there. Needless to say he passed out before he could get to his bedroom. Alcohol may have been involved.

It's what? Three miles? HTFU.

How did humans ever survive before there were cars?
