What's killing folks isn't the vaccines, rather it's primarily two things. The fat, grease, sugar, and salt heavy diet typical of Americans, along with sofa-TV lounging instead of exercising. And, the toxic by products dumped in our food and water by various manufacturing and agricultural entities. Sadly, folks insisting on politicizing everything, including death, either can't or refuse to see the truth on any level.

I do agree with you that those things are bad for you. With that being said, this isn't about politics.
A recent Rassmussen poll reported that while 85% of democrats are vaccinated, 51% believe the vaccines are causing deaths/injury, 44% feel that vax safety concerns are legitimate, and 33% say they know someone who has died or shown side effects.

Vax and Republicans; Much more to that story!

My only question is this. When covid started, none of that mattered, no preexisting conditions, every death was covid. Now that it seems vaccinated people are having problems, all of a sudden preexisting conditions and what we eat matter. Why? Couldn't I argue that covid wasn't the cause of death for the majority of those listed, and say it was their diet? Why does it only work one way? I'm legit confused by this. There's literally no discussion about this if you look at it. Everyone who has had the vaccine will post links supporting their claim, and will not see anything else. On the flip side, everyone who is against the vaccine will post links supporting their side, and won't see it any other way. My only real problem is the hypocritical stance like I mentioned. If diet and preexisting conditions didn't matter before, you're a hypocrite if you're trying to blame it now for vaccinated people dying. I'm honestly asking, are you so set on the vaccine that you don't even see it's hypocritical? Same for the other side, they preached preexisting before, so why don't it matter when someone vaccinated dies? I say that knowing 3 people personally who died, 2 vaccinated, one unvaccinated. We could argue it all day, but I'm not gonna be so into how I feel that I'm going to be hypocritical about it.

Knowing what I know about vaccines, and the fact that with any vaccination campaign, you will always have people who buck the norm. That was true with polio, scarlet fever, mumps, and chickenpox to name a few. That being said, wife and I have acquaintances who were anti-vax folks who died from COVID-19. We ourselves are up-to-date vaccinated and while the wife got flu-like symptoms for two days after her 3rd shot, all I got was a sore arm from where the needle went in. There will always be "but what about" cases that simply buck the norm.

For example, in my day, and I admit there MUST, MUST. MUST have been such incidents, I never heard a whiff about peanut allergies. Now it seems sort of common. I think it's less the peanuts than it is the chemicalization/pesticiding of peanuts. Same thing with various other food allergies. When I was in California during the hippie era, I developed a sudden allergy to bananas. Never had it before. Eating just 1 or 2 bites, I got sick to my stomach, would vomit, feel dizzy to the point I had to either lie down or would fall down. Came back to Tennessee after two years. Tried eating bananas again. To this day, I can now wolf down 2 or 3 without incident. What was different? I don't know, maybe the source was the cause. Oh, there is one thing that a shot did me no good. Wasn't a vaccine, but just to illustrate bucking the norm. Novocaine I got at dentist visits, don't do a freaking thing for me. More than once, I had to just grin and bear the pain. My solution, eventually, was a dental aide pulling me aside and advising me to switch to a dentist who knew what nitrous oxide was and how to use it. So I guess it wasn't just the ineffectiveness of Novocaine, but the ineptitude of my dentist back then as well.

Don't know about your WHY questions. However, when I mention diet, I'm focused on the declining life expectancy of Americans in general. For the sake of profit, we're killing ourselves. We have the highest rate of diabetes in the world. And it's now impacting even our youngest kid for example. Diabetes kills. So blaming vaccinations for people dying just doesn't smell right to me. 'Nuff said.

OK, lets roll with that.

How did the lockdowns help that when you learn the average American gained weight in 2020?

PK, lets roll with that.

Lockdowns or no, we Americans are junk food junkies. Like drug addicts, we will find or create access to it come hell or high water. Besides that, the lockdown was a joke. Wife and I made visits to our local groceries, we saw women, and couples with cars piled high, sometimes two carts at a time, we boxed junk. Potato chips, sugary cold cereal, lots of meat, cookies, candies, canisters of Crisco, eggs, packages of soda, the usual grease, sugar, and salt. This is the stuff the Surgeon General should have really issued a warning about, more than tobacco products, perhaps. Some folsk even looked at us with disdain due to our multi packets of beans, dry grains such as barley, rice, pastas, buckwheat hot cereal, coconut oil, unsalted Swanson beef and chicken stock, frozen veggies, well you get the idea. But it meant we stocked to reduce trips to the store, and eat more healthy. So we just smiled and winked at the sneering shoppers. Which of course pissed off some of them. At least one couple stopped and asked us about it just outside the store. They ended up nodding at each other, so I assumed they shopped like us next trip. I assume that, don't know it is true.

Why are you picking on meat and eggs? That's superfood, brother. The rest of your list is good.

Also, Swanson stock is basically salt water. Go with natural bone broth if your goal is a source of non-refrigerated protein/nutrition.

You didn't answer the question. Did the lockdowns help or hurt Americans diet and exercise lifestyles?

He also seems to be a narcissist. I doubt anyone GAF about what he had in his shopping cart. It's not always about you.
I thought it was a strange comment. Who the hell inspects other people's groceries? Especially if it's normal stuff like rice and beans.

I checked out at Walmart in early 2020 with a family pack of toilet paper, a few boxes of shotgun shells, and a 6 pack. That got a couple of chuckles.

My wife has recently gotten on a health kick where she tries to only eat "God food". She basically tryst to avoid all man made processed food.

Another really cool thing we discovered is the Sardinia, Italy has one of the longest life expectancies in the world. People living in Sardinia continue to have a very active lifestyle and still hunt, fish, and harvest most of their food locally. The community eats a largely healthy diet consisting of whole-grain bread, beans, garden vegetables, fruits, and mastic oil, all of which are important for heart health. Of course they all drink their healthy red wine which inspired me to start ordering my wine from Sardenia and have a glass of health every night.
