I don't think the Cotton is likely either. They will pick the highest ranking Power 5 team or ND not going to the Orange, and there will be three of those ahead of us.

How fired up will the team be playing in the Citrus or outback when you had the playoff right on your doorstep? Could be another uninspired effort like last night

Really don’t care how fired up they are after last night. Defense flat out quit. Secondary was as bad as I’ve ever seen at Tennessee

Beat Vandy and we go to a NY6 bowl.

That's not as much of a given as I thought it was 24 hours ago, but we should still win that game. We'll see.

We better hope this team is focused on Vandy and Hooker is ready to roll. If not, we're staring at 9-4 with a 3 game skid to end this really nice season with. That would be hugely disappointing given all this team has accomplished. Hope they're not looking ahead like they were last week. Needless to say we aren't good enough to overlook anyone.

You might be right. I think it’s pretty much Cotton or bust on NY6. We probably need to root for teams to lose now just to be a better position for NY6 as opposed to playoffs.

Hookers status really becomes a wildcard for the Cotton. The Sugar and Orange have specific guidelines for their pick. Cotton is a free game. If they think Hooker is out they may pass.

I'm not so sure about that. The only chance we have is an outside shot at the Sugar. None of the others are in play.

In the 11th game of the season, we let a starting QB increase his season total of TD passes by 75%. Right now I'd say where we fall in the bowl lineup is not our most pressing concern.

Agree with you, we need to tend to our own house before we look to play someone more talented in a New Years Bowl game and get our teeth kicked in on national TV.

Maybe so, but I think we will need A LOT of help. I don't like to speculate about injuries, but if we have to finish the season with a backup QB then our chances of a NY6 go down significantly.

No matter what bowl, it is a huge mental hurdle for the team. Making it into the playoffs was everything. Some won't play in the bowl. The popular thing now is to skip the bowl to save yourself from injury and increase money.

The only way we can get Orange is if we are ranked ahead of penn state. Michigan will go to the rose. Orange takes the higher ranked between the big ten and sec.

We can still make New Years Day bowl if we win next week and get just a little help. If we bounce back and play well next week we will still be a attractive team. We need a good bowl matchup with a month to prepare and practice. We need to end this year and a win and a good bowl win. Finish 11-2 and be motivated to finish the deal next year! GBO

It’s not that popular really, overall not many do it. Unless they do truly have injury issues.
