Sunseri headed to FSU...

LB's coach for sure, I mean can anyone imagine him being hired as a DC given the job he did this year? He coached some NFL type guys from the LB's spot so at that he's not bad...sorry but a little puke just came up in my throat after sayin that...

FSU's DC is Pruitt from Bama.

He'll(Sunseri) be DE coach if Pruitt stays in a 4-3 base, and will coach LB's if the switch to 3-4 is made. He coached DE's at Carolina in a 4-3. FSU doesn't have the depth chart, right now, for a 3-4, so probably DE for 2013.

Sunseri is a great recruiter in the south, especially if the town has a western sizzler.

His best recruit was his son to bama......
or was that a package deal?

That's how we got Wade Houston as a coach.

Pretty sure his contract buyout was guaranteed. We have to pay his full buyout regardless of if FSU pays him $5 mil a year.

And before some of you say Hart screwed us with that contract, I'd imagine it was the only way we were getting anyone to come with all the speculation on Dooley.

Dooley and Chaney's contracts were the only two that had guaranteed buyouts. Sal was paid 900,000 yearly here, and will only get the difference between the 900,000 and what his new gig pays.

If I'm not mistaken, Sal's buyout is guaranteed and the amount UT pays is not based on how much any other program pays him. He is laughing at Dave Hart all the way to the bank... Just like Dooley is laughing at Mike Hamilton.

Actually this is the most shocking news that I have read in a long long time. I figured he was basically unhireable after the way this year went.

we'll see how things turn out, but Sunseri wasn't the total problem with the UT defense, everyone just wants someone to blame....Sunseri's been a pretty good coach for many years and has probably forgot more than most posters on VN will ever truly know about football.....and that's a fact

FSU hired him as a position coach (linebackers or DEs) - he was fine there before and will be fine there again - just did not have whatever it takes to be a coordinator.

His contract is not guaranteed. I posted the actual verbiage a few post back. His buyout will be reduced by what he makes at FSU.
