I'm certainly glad that Congress is spending time dealing with these absolutely critical issues. After all, the nation isn't facing any real problems.

True. I mean daylight savings time is an absolutely critical issue facing all Americans. If we don’t fix the daylight savings time, it could very quickly become a disaster. 😂😂😂😂

Our government is such a clown show.

Lol ok. Counseling? Even if so, 10mm would be a drop in the bucket compared to benefits for years to come.

Probably good for economies nationwide. People tend to go out and stay out later when it's still daylight.

Notoriously good for mental health too.

So a 1 hour difference has that much impact on the US? I hope you are joking.

I'd rather stay on standard time, but pretending like this was a huge time waster is the typical BS I'd expect from you. It was adopted by unanimous consent. I doubt any of them spent any time on it at all. Do you know if there were significant committee hearings that took up time for relevant issues? Or do you just want complain?

We do need to do away with the time change. But we should standardize on STANDARD time, not the stupid fiasco called Daylight Saving. Noon should be when the sun is at its highest elevation, with equal daylight before and after noon. All DST is is a command from the government to wake up an hour early every day. But so many Americans are actually confused and think that somehow a law can create more daylight

I agree.

But then again, I would bet that less than a quarter of Congress can actually explain time zones, seasonal progressions, and the way time is measured.

Spending any amount of time on something like daylight savings time is ridiculous. But yeah continue to defend the ones you out in office.

Those of you claiming this is about sleeping in are so misinformed it's crazy. You are also oblivious to how sleep works. No one gets to go to work an hour later.
