Super Hero Fatigue

I asked for a number that we could go by to prove what that person would consider a successful opening weekend. He provided that number and it sounded reasonable enough to be a number to go by. So now it will be higher or lower based on the market and its now a matter of waiting for the numbers. Thank you for your input though it has been quite helpful.

No, you said

Captain Marvel's gonna suck just like Ghostbusters and The Last Jedi. I don't need to tip toe around it. Feminism is cancer. The box office will prove it.

And then danced it back when you realized it's more than likely going to make a ton of movie. Also you do realize The Last Jedi was a box office success right?

Again, you guys are terrible at this.

I doubt it will make a ton of movie. If by danced it back you mean I realized that the box office is irrelevant to the point I was getting at that SJW propaganda is being forced down audience's throats then yeah I'll agree with that. I did get a number to go by though.

I'm not the one attacking fellow posters with an opposite opinion. Ever notice sjws cannot discuss subjects in a civil manner without resorting to name calling and insults.

Yeah because people like you totally don’t use the term “sjws” as an insult and totally don’t automatically pull out the “sjw” and “feminism is cancer” when someone disagrees with you.

Don’t even act like you and your insecure buddy are “being civil”. And I’m sorry you 2 are such snowflakes that questioning the bold opinion you had no problems declaring makes you all uncomfortable and you deem “an attack” (something neither you had a problem doing to the movies you don’t like).

I think someone may be triggered...breathe. Make another crappy MJ dancing flop joke. Third times the charm

I feel the fatigue when the movies aren't good, but Marvel has been on a hot streak. I do get tired of stories where the stakes are so high. All 4 Avengers movies are about different villains trying to conquer the human race. Sometimes it feels like everybody is just trying to out-Michael Bay each other.

To be fair, the stakes should be high to get all the heavy hitter characters together for Avengers movies.

The solo movies aren’t always mega disaster plots. Cap Am 2-3 were both big without being world threatening. Ragnarok was pretty heavy but it was isolated to Asgard and the disaster wasn’t really averted. AntMan and Spider-Man were grounded in comparison too.

Yeah, Spiderman was a perfect respite in that regard.

They even reference it in SM, when Peter asks if Stark is getting the Avengers involved and Stark replies "No, this is below their pay grade".

That's another reason I liked the Netlix shows because they were all contained to the NY area.

Captain Marvel’s Pre-Sales Are Among The MCU’s Best

It could eclipse Infinity War.

I could understand these CM failure predictions if the trailers looked awful or the buzz was bad. That’s just not the case.

If your reason is feminism then you are a snowflake. End of story.

The "argument" was just stupid to begin with. 2 guys now start an argument that CM is going to bomb at the box office then when pressed with evidence they immediately backtrack to say it will make money because people are sheep, but it will still REALLY be a bomb because......reasons.

Early reviews have been extremely positive

I have to admit I'm a bit bewildered by how a female hero is some kind of default SJW. As I observed in another thread these people aren't some Indie house outfit making movies on their feelz, their primary focus is money. DC's WW is over 400m in just domestic dollars and Marvel wants to be able to market a similar product and hope for similar success.

Anyone believing this effort is about anything more than money are themselves the ones with the agenda.

It's insecurity, plain and simple.

It's as ridiculous as assuming Captain America is by default some white male savior hero pushing white supremacy simply because he's a white male superhero.

You really have an unhealthy obsession for another run of the mill Super hero origin flick! Each successive movie borrows from the same paint by number template.

And the same critics likes The Last Jedi! Critics are bought and paid for by the major studios. The good critics are dead.
Well Marvel always has high audience scores at well. Also if what you said were true then all major blockbusters made by studios with deep pockets would get good reviews and that isn't the case. Marvel makes good movies that make money and that Critics and the general viewing audience like.

So in review, a great box office, making a huge profit, and great reviews all don't make it a success; whiny insecure males on YouTube are the true judges of how good a film is.

Got it.
