Superman vs Batman movie coming in 2015!

This makes me feel better I just don't want to see pants! I really like the leather skirt warrior look. One more I hope they stick with the traditional gold on her outfit and not the silver look now used in the comics.

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Costume Designer Teases Wonder Woman's Look

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Costume Designer Teases Wonder Woman's Look

Rumor has it that the Batman and Wonder Woman character and costume designs for Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman will be revealed later this month. While we wait to see if that actually happens, costume designer Michael Wilkinson teases Wonder Woman's look in a new interview with The Wrap. When asked about working on Wonder Woman's outfit he called it a "thrilling and slightly scary prospect," and said:

"It's so important to get her right. She really deserves to be presented on-screen in her full glory. So what I do is I look at the history of how the character has been presented on the big-screen, and the small-screen, and in comic books, and graphic novels. We process it all. Then we kind of put that aside and work out what is right for our film, for the cinematic universe that our director Zack Snyder is putting together. We try and create a Wonder Woman that's relevant for today's audiences."

He was then asked if he thought it would be realistic for her to be fighting crime in her outfit. Here's his reply:

"Absolutely! I mean, you just have to look at the gladiators from ancient Rome, they did their thing in little loin clothes and shield....It works for Thor, it works for 300, so let's see what happens."

I'm really curious to see what exactly they've come up with for her costume. If they plan on presenting the character in her "full glory" then I imagine it will be what fans of Wonder Woman want to see.

David S. Goyer wrote the screenplay and Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Clark Kent/Superman as he goes up against Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The movie also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

The film is set to open on May 6th, 2016.

New Batman-Superman movie to start metro Detroit filming in April, director says

Get ready, Detroit. Filming should begin in a month on the Batman-Superman movie that “explodes” the universes of its DC superheros.

That’s according to the project’s director, Zack Snyder, who spoke to “Hero Complex” of the Los Angeles Times about the buzz-churning film that will soon start production in metro Detroit.

“We’re getting ready to start shooting in a month or so,” said Snyder, who helmed “Man of Steel” starring Henry Cavill. “ It’s going great. I’m very excited. It’s very fun to get into this world with different heroes coexisting in the same universe, but a lot of balls in the air as they say. “

Snyder also talked about testing the new suits for Batman and Superman and dropped a few hint bombs about his vision for the movie, which he says “literally takes the “Man of Steel” and “Batman” universes and explodes them.”

The untitled Batman-Superman project will film at Pontiac’s Michigan Motion Picture Studios and undisclosed locations throughout the state.

Is this Our First Look at Ben Affleck's Batman?

The image you see above gives us a look at what Ben Affleck's Batman might look like in Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman. There is no indication on if this is real or fan made, but either way it's a great look, and that's definitely Affleck's chin.

The image popped up on the Superhero Hype forum and there's no source on where it came from, but it looks like a photo of an image. I doubt this is actual production art, but there's always a slight chance that it could be. The look is pretty much what I'm expecting to see in the film though, and I'd be happy with the design. It looks very similar to comic artist Jim Lee's Batman design that you can see below.

The most epic film going weekend ever? or A Bad Idea??

Mystery Solved: 'Captain America 3' to Challenge Batman-Superman Head On (Exclusive)

Mystery Solved: 'Captain America 3' to Challenge Batman-Superman Head On (Exclusive)

Until now, the identity of the Marvel film set to open on May 6, 2016, has been kept secret; Marvel Studios and Disney claimed the date first before Warner Bros. slotted the next "Superman" installment for the same weekend.

The mystery has been solved -- the untitled Marvel Studios tentpole that Warner Bros.' Batman-Superman movie will go up against on May 6, 2016, is Captain America 3, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

That's the plan, anyway, creating the biggest superhero box office showdown in history (Marvel Studios and parent company Disney staked out the date first). Shooting schedules and post-production could always impact the current blueprint, however. Also, Marvel and Disney have a second untitled movie set to open that summer on July 8, so there is wiggle room.

Marvel films have all but owned the first weekend of summer for the past decade to enormous success, so all of Hollywood was surprised when Warner Bros. announced in January that it would open Batman-Superman movie on May 6, 2016 as well.

Batman-Superman stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill once again as Superman. It was originally supposed to hit theaters in summer 2015, but its release was pushed back nearly a year. There's no doubt but that Warners is hoping to replicate the blockbuster returns Marvel has enjoyed with its multi-hero Avengers universe.

EARLIER: Batman-Superman Movie Bumped to 2016, Setting Up Marvel Showdown

This week, when promoting the upcoming sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige threw down the gauntlet, saying he had no plans to move off of the May 6 date. He still wouldn't reveal the identity of the film; however, insiders confirm it will indeed be Captain America 3. The world premiere of Winter Soldier is Thursday in Hollywood.

Warners may have been waiting to see what the Marvel title was before considering a date change for Batman-Superman, if the studio indeed blinks. There are still weekends available that summer, including the first two after Captain America 3 and Batman-Superman are set to open. Zack Snyder begins shooting Batman-Superman in the coming weeks.

Veteran box office observers doubt that the two films will ultimately open opposite each other.

Marvel and Disney are incredibly high on Captain America 2, which opens in north America on April 4 and is garnering huge interest, according to pre-release tracking. They believe Winter Soldier, returning Chris Evans in the title role, will benefit from the same halo effect from The Avengers that Iron Man 3 and sequel Thor: The Dark World enjoyed, as well as firmly establishing Captain America as a standalone franchise.

Brothers Anthony and Joe Russo directed Winter Soldier, and are in talks to return for Captain America 3.

The first Captain America: The First Avenger took in $371 million worldwide, compared to $668 million for Man of Steel. However, Winter Soldier has a shot at matching the $641 million grossed worldwide by fellow Marvel sequel Thor: The Dark World late last year.

Solid additions! IMO People can talk crap about the film but this thing has some solid actors/actresses Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne, Ben Affleck is solid and now they add Holly Hunter!

Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto Cast in Batman vs. Superman!

Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto Cast in Batman vs. Superman!

Warner Bros. has announced that Academy Award winner Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto have been cast in the upcoming Superman/Batman film as newly-created characters. You can read the full press release below to get all the details.

Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Oscar®-winning actress Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey of “300: Rise of an Empire,” and Tao Okamoto of “The Wolverine” have joined the cast of the upcoming Zack Snyder untitled Superman/Batman film. The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

All three actors will play characters newly created for the film.

Snyder stated, “Holly has always been one of my favorite actresses; she has immense talent and is always captivating on screen. I had an opportunity to meet her a while back and knew instantly that I had to work with her, so as we began writing the script I made sure to create a role specifically for her.

“I just had the good fortune to work with Callan on ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ and was very impressed with his incredible talent,” the director continued. “He’s a fantastic actor and I’m looking forward to having the chance to work with him again. And, quite simply, Tao is a striking presence whose beauty is aptly rivaled by her amazing abilities as an actress. I’m really excited to have her joining us on this adventure.”

Hunter received the Academy Award® and a Golden Globe Award for her starring role in Jane Campion’s “The Piano.” She also garnered Oscar® nominations for her work in “Broadcast News,” “The Firm” and “Thirteen.” She has starred in such films as the Coen brothers’ “Raising Arizona” and “O Brother, Where Art Thou?,” Steven Spielberg’s “Always,” Lasse Halström’s “Once Around,” Jodie Foster’s “Home for the Holidays” and Brad Bird’s animated hit “The Incredibles.” Hunter was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award® when she reunited with Campion for the TV miniseries “Top of the Lake.” She next appears in David Gordon Green’s “Manglehorn” and in Terrence Malick’s upcoming feature.

Australian-born Mulvey stars in the current box office hit “300: Rise of an Empire,” produced by Snyder. He also appeared in Kathryn Bigelow’s “Zero Dark Thirty,” and will next be seen in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

In addition to “The Wolverine,” Okamoto also appeared in the video “The Wolverine: The Path of a Ronin,” and in the Japanese television miniseries “Chi no wadachi.”

Snyder’s film stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. The film also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and reunites “Man of Steel” stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

The new film is currently being written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.

The film is set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016, and is based on Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Batman characters created by Bob Kane, and Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.

Cyborg will be appearing in this movie.
He's been on the small screen including Smallville now he'll be making his big screen debut.

I can't see the Rock as ANY Green Lantern.... way to buff/huge.

Now, him as Colossus for Marvel if he could pull off the accent? Sure.

I can't see him as an Earth GL, but with the proper make-up, he could be Kilowogg.

Never have cared for Cyborg especially now that DC has pushed him so hard over the last several years.

Jim Lee is a topnotch comic book artist.
His art in superman for tommorow makes superman look like a badass.
:good!: Jim Lee is probably one of my favorite artists of all time!

Really I think you might change your mind after seeing the movie.
I recall the owner of krypton comics saying he's a nice guy if I recall right. Also that he's a wolverine fan since he has that small size like him.

I've heard talk of if Metallo appears he'll be reduced to the second super villain with Luther getting more screen time, or as a minion of Luther.

Zack Snyder Teases BATMOBILE Reveal

zack-snyder-batmobile-mos2-tease.jpg

There it is, folks, your first almost-look at the new Batmobile. As rumored, the vehicle is back to a sleeker sports car style than the massive tank known as the Tumbler from the last trilogy of Batman films. Director Zack Snyder tweeted out the teaser image Monday afternoon, saying, "Could be time to pull the tarp...Tomorrow?" So while today you just get a silhouette and the back wheels, expect a better look on Tuesday.

I wish a movie would be made with Marvel characters like this. Thor vs The Hulk would be an awesome movie.

I'm not convinced that Batman vs. Superman is official name (I'm betting something different will be announced at Comic-Con. I also expect a fight between the two to last all of 10-15 minutes then they team up to stop Luthor and (insert other bad guy here).

I like the cowl and the bat emblem. What's the deal with the funky material. And I cannot look past the rubber muscles.

Marvel and DC characters in the movies should have the same costumes that they have in comic books. The movies should be more true to the comics.

This might be worth reading.

Ben Affleck's Batman and 30 Other Superhero Movie Debuts

Ben Affleck's Batman and 30 Other Superhero Movie Debuts

Zack Snyder sent social media ablaze yesterday with his stylish debut of Ben Affleck's Batman from the upcoming Batman vs. Superman. Today, we've decided to take a look back at 30 other movie superheroes and the images that debuted them to the public.

Before not too long ago, movie characters made their "first appearances" to audiences in the same place as the main attraction: as trailers or posters at the theater. Due to the vast expansion of social media in the past two decades, the mode by which reveals are first delivered to curious fans is ever-evolving and, as such, the past two decades are the primary focus of the below slideshow. If anyone has stories of older methods of promotion used for classic superhero adaptations, however, we'd love to hear about them in the comments!

Although the following list is largely in chronological order, we're opening with a special super-villain debut awfully close to our hearts. Longtime readers will be sure to catch a few nostalgic moments and it's a good bet that, at least once, you'll remember being pleasantly surprised by a costume or character you thought you'd hate (or vice versa)!
