Superman vs Batman movie coming in 2015!

Probably for the best. This project was already feeling very rushed.
It or something else will get changed again I would think. I don't see anyway that Warner/DC or Marvel releases films the same weekend vying for the same crowd and a week after X-Men so a couple of them or all three get moved in my opinion.

It didn't say anything about filming being pushed back so I assume this just allows for more time for special effects.

This however could be good news for Warner/DC in the long run if they turn around and film Justice League or another property in 2015 & 2016 they could release it then the next year and again go head to head with Marvel who puts at least one film out every year.

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: Details on Batman's Second Suit

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: Details on Batman's Second Suit

If you’ve paid attention to the words Kevin Smith has used to describe the Batsuit that director Zack Snyder showed him, you probably have some sense of the general color scheme Ben Affleck will be wearing as the Caped Crusader in Batman Vs. Superman. Smith called the version he saw Affleck modeling “a very familiar Batman,” but that it “didn’t look like any of the cinematic Batmans that have ever gone before.” He also added that it’s “the suit you all wanted to see.” Reading between the lines, you can guess that this is either a grey/black or grey/blue suit that we’ve grown up seeing in the comics, but never on the big screen.

Our friends at Latino-Review have a possible description of not one, but TWO suits that Affleck will wear in the film. Marvelous Dave had this to say earlier this week:

“The more interesting thing I’ve heard is that Batman will actually wear 2 batsuits in the film, but where as Grey-and-Blue has already been designed and Affleck has worn it, the second Batsuit is more armored like the one in the Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come comics.”

As stated above, the primary suit will likely be (barring some last minute change) grey-and-blue. As far as the armor goes, El Mayimbe revealed more details on that suit yesterday. He prefaces the info by saying “because of the ultra secretive nature surrounding the movie, it’s insanely difficult to confirm the following so take with a grain of salt.” You’ve been warned, so take the info as it is.

“According to the source, the plating is silver/white. The plates are attached to a black undercloth. The plates doesn’t cover his entire body. We see the black undercloth at the joints. Supposedly, it looks incredible. Equally, or maybe even better-looking than the other suit and it’s leagues above and beyond Bale’s suit from what I’m told.”

Again, this is early info so the suit/suits are subject to change. With the rumor being that Warner Bros. pushed the release date of the film back to 2016 in order to shoot the film back to back with Justice League, it’s a definite possibility that the suits could go through changes to better fit with other characters that will be introduced in both films.

HERE WE GO LUTHOR & ALFRED SUPPOSEDLY CAST!!

Warner Bros. Casts a Surprise LEX LUTHOR and ALFRED for SUPERMAN / BATMAN
Warner Bros. Casts a Surprise LEX LUTHOR and ALFRED for SUPERMAN / BATMAN

Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) is the next Lex Luthor, as officially announced by Warner Bros. Friday afternoon. He'll play the role in Man of Steel 2 commonly referred to as Superman/Batman.

Alongside the announce cement of Eisenberg's casting was that of Jeremy Irons (Beautiful Creatures) as Alfred, Bruce Wayne's butler, father figure, and confidant.

The film also stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman , and sees the return of Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane in their roles from the previous movie.

“Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals , his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940,” Snyder said in a press release. "What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions."

At age 30 currently, Eisenberg will be the youngest actor to portray the character on the big screen. Michael Rosenbaum was 29 when Smallville premiered, but he was playing against a Clark Kent that was being portrayed as only 16 years old at the time. Eisenberg was never rumored in the contention for the role, with rumors focusing on older actors like Bryan Cranston playing the villain. This does make Lex and Clark Kent contemporaries, however - Cavill is also 30 (and played 33 in Man of Steel).

As for Alfred, Snyder said, "He is an absolutely critical element in the intricate infrastructure that allows Bruce Wayne to transform himself into Batman. It is an honor to have such an amazingly seasoned and gifted actor as Jeremy taking on the important role of the man who mentors and guides the guarded and nearly impervious façade that encapsulates Bruce Wayne."

Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for May 6, 2016 release, recently pushed back from a July, 2015 slot.

They must have misheard Eisenberg over Heisenburg.
To be honest I kinda like the hire. If he plays him kinda like he did Mark Zuckerberg then this could be good and I really like the selection of Jeremy Irons as Alfred.

I think this will be good remember they brought in Chris Terrio to rewrite the script. He won an Oscar for writing Argo!

Eisenberg is a horrible actor. He's the same in every role, much like Ben affleck. This move sounds more and more like a piece of garbage.

I think it can still be a good movie, but please don't make Luthor talk breathlessly at 400 words a minute in a very swarmy way.

IF they get the story right I think it will all take care of its self.

I don't think so. Casting the right person is very critical. If they had cast Webster for the role of Big Mike in the Blind Side, that movie would have been awful even though the story was great.

I would immediately pay all of my money to see that movie remade with Webster in the lead role and nothing else changed.

Especially the part where he picks the kid up and carries him across the field and throws him over the wall

Details on Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor in BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

I was incredibly surprised and excited to hear that Jesse Eisenberg was cast in Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman. I thought the choice was inspired. Not everyone is happy with his casting, but wait and see what they actually have planned for him. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't, but I think Eisenberg is going to be awesome as Lex.

Our friends at Latino-Review got their hands on some details on what Lex Luthor will be like in the film and some huge plot points. Maybe they managed to answer some of the questions you have. Of course, there are potential MAJOR SPOILERS in the following information if they are true.

SPOILERS

SPOILERS

SPOILERS

Here are the major points that they were revealed:

Lex Luthor will have a bald head.
Lex has a detailed sleeve tattoo of the Metropolis skyline on his right arm.
Lex is the richest man on the planet and was a self-made billionaire at 18.
Lex is obviously the CEO of Lexcorp
He is a tech genius, a ruthless business man, and former Metropolis street tough.
At 14 Lex was living on the streets and was initiated into a street gang.
By 15 he was running the street gang.
According to Lex, the act of resolving is better than strength.
Behind Lex's eyes "burn the fires of unparalleled genius. A powerful intellect enabling him to accomplish anything he bends his will toward. In the boundaries of his mind he is godlike but not a God."
Lex is introduced early on in the story when Bruce Wayne visits him at his Lexcorp Tower Penthouse. Lex watching video of Superman when he enters.
Bruce and Lex don't like each other. They have a past. "You see Bruce once called Lex as an amoral, arrogant brat. Lex thinks of Bruce as a trust fund baby. Lex considers he got himself to where he is at by innovation and hard work while Bruce by accident of birth."
Lex considers Superman "an alien, and a trespasser that doesn’t belong on this planet."
Bruce considers Superman an "impressive specimen."
Superman is only one of the reasons Bruce comes to Metropolis. He has an interest in the city’s tragic circumstances.
"The rebuilding of Metropolis is Bruce Wayne’s main priority."
Bruce will put aside his differences with Lex so they can work together by "pooling their resources" to better serve the citizens of Metropolis.
Even though Lex sees limitations in Wayne Enterprises, he believes he can still use the company for certain things.
Lex believes Superman can die and that he is not immortal.
Bruce sees Superman as a problem, but one that can be solved in a peaceful way. "One that doesn’t involve going toe to toe with a God."
"Lex doesn’t intend to go toe to toe with anybody because he believes you don’t get to be a general by charging the frontlines with the rest of the troops."
When Bruce leaves, Lex is thinking… maybe use the Batman

I liked some things about what was revealed and other things that I didn't like. For example, I don't really like Lex rocking a sleeve tattoo or that he was a street tough. Lex's origin story just seems a bit much, but it is a comic book movie, so we'll see how it turns out. I do like the dynamic that he will have with Bruce, though. It will be fun watching Affleck and Eisenberg working together as these characters. And even though the movie was presented to us as Batman Vs. Superman, it looks like Batman is going to try to find a peaceful solution to work with him. It probably won't start out like that though.

Remember folks this film is being written by the guy who wrote Argo and won an Oscar for that!

So it should be very good stuff if the acting is half way decent!

Gal Gadot Shows Off Muscles in Preparation for Batman vs. Superman
Gal Gadot Shows Off Muscles in Preparation for Batman vs. Superman

Gal Gadot, who will play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman film, previously teased her workout routine for the film in mentioning that she had taken up "Kung Fu, kickboxing, swords, jiujutsu, and Brazilian" training so that she could build up her body mass for the role. Now, Gadot has shared this post-workout image on her Facebook page with the caption: "There's nothing like a good workout in the morning. Love it! You?" Her training certainly does appear to be working. Check out the image below!

Written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer, Batman vs. Superman will star Henry Cavill as Clark Kent going up against Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Man of Steel stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles along with newcomers Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred. The Zack Snyder directed film is set to open on May 6, 2016.

Maybe it's just the angle, but that is a pretty sad looking muscle, especially for someone that just finished working out.

As long as she has some muscle definition. I don't want her to look like a body builder Wonder Woman has super strength not super muscles.

I could live with that!!

Is this classic Batsuit the right fit for new Batman?
The Batman vs Superman movie has been generating controversy like no other - but might the batsuit be one thing the filmmakers are going to get right?

A while back Kevin Smith, who has been shown the suit by director Zack Snyder, dropped some hints as to how the batsuit might look. He revealed

It didn’t look like any of the cinematic Batmans that have ever gone before...They’ll tell you when they want you to know, but any Batman fan is going to be F—ing pleased. I’m going to tell you that right now. They gave you the suit you all wanted to see.

A suit that everyone wanted to see but hasn't been seen in any Batman movie before? Some people are suggesting we could be seeing the traditional grey/blue suit from the comics, which was recently recreated as an exclusive bust by Forbidden Planet:

Could this be the style of the new batsuit?

The grey-blue suit is iconic in the comics, but it hasn't been seen before on the big screen. It seems DC has been edging towards a more classic design for the movie and while nothing concrete has been announced, it wouldn't be surprising to see Affleck decked out in some variation of the blue-grey ensemble in Batman vs. Superman.

But what do you think? Could this classic batsuit work - or is this another sign (along with the casting of the somewhat tame Affleck) that this movie is going to have a lighter, less dark mood than we have seen Batman take on previously? Answer this question and ask any others below the line - and let us know your ideas about what makes the perfect Batsuit!
