3 Villains Added to BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
Thanks to our friends at Latino-Review, we've got some new information on Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The site reveals that there will be three additional villains introduced in the movie, and that they are lesser known characters. There's no information on how big of a part these characters will play, but if you don't want to know who they are then I suggest you stop reading now. You clicked through to read the post though, so you knew what you were getting yourself into!
The villains include:
Victor Zsasz - He is a serial killer that Batman fights early on in Gotham City. He's a brutal killer with a knife and he carves a tally mark somewhere on himself for every victim. He's a really jacked up individual.
Morgan Edge - This guy is a public relations exwcutive for Lexcorp and a real douchebag. He's basically Lex Luthor's mouth piece. The site goes on to say that we "meet Edge early on when he goes toe to toe with Lois Lane in a television talk show. In the movie's backstory, Edge and Luthor were members of the most notorious gangs ever to come out of Hob's Bay."
David Cain - He's one of the world's deadliest assassins, and apparently he meets with Luthor's bodyguard, Mercy Graves, to set up an assassination.
There's also a bonus character that the site brings up! Her name is Amanda Waller. She is described as being a "very stern and focused senator with an intimidating presence. She doesn't trust Superman. At all. Sees him as a threat and comes up with a counter measure."
The site won't say what that counter measure is, but I'm sure it's going to be something crazy that, in the end, won't stop him from doing what he does.
It doesn't sound like these are going to be main villains in the story, so I'm not worried about any kind of overcrowding. What do you think about these three characters being included in the story?
Going from the background I'm betting that's Gotham! I have no problem with the film being dark. I had no problem with Man of Steelits certainly closer to what Superman is in the comics now days than the outdated Chris Reeve films.
Ben Affleck's Cape and Cowl on Display at Comic-Con
The cape and cowl that Ben Affleck will be wearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently on display at San Diego Comic-Con. One of the first things I realized upon seeing the costume was, "Well, Batman won't be able to turn his head again." That's ok though because the suit really does look freakin' spectacular. I'd wear it everyday!
Comic-Con: WB, Zack Snyder Wow With Supersized Batman v. Superman Teaser
Zack Snyder brought his new Batman Ben Affleck, Superman Henry Cavill, and Wonder Woman Gal Gadot to Hall H and the fans to their feet right off the bat at the top of Warner Bros. two-hour Comic-Con presentation this morning. And with the superheroes came a groundbreaking first for the convention itself: Curtains on either side of the main jumbotron crawled back to reveal supersized wraparound screens extending down both sides of the massive Hall, giving the 6,000+ attendees an immersive aural and visual peek at a first teaser for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Snyder also timed a Twitter post to reveal the first look at Gadots Wonder Woman
Snyder and Co. were filming just last night but flew in just to wow the Comic-Con crowd.
[Spoilers] The brief teaser alights on Afflecks Batman on a rooftop on a dark and stormy night, eyes glowing blue through the mask of his Batsuit. He strikes on the Batsignal which illuminates the sky, revealing Cavills Superman floating in the air, staring him down with eyes glowing red. I couldnt be happier with the way everythings going, Snyder assured the crowd, which also got peeks at character shots of the trio with the B v S logo. Talent, sets, special effects its going amazingly well. WBs working toward May 6, 2016 release date.
Jason Momoa Confirmed as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Aquaman may have been the subject of endless memes and puns, but with the late Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) confirmed to play the Atlantean king in the slated Batman v Superman film, he'll be anything but the laughing stock of the Justice League.
Weve heard plenty of speculation on an Aquaman appearance in Zack Snyders Superman sequel, and so far its been nothing but speculation but things took a turn for the better when Zack Snyder called into a radio station in Detroit to defend the trident-wielding sea king.
Lets take a moment here to acknowledge that most people are familiar with Aquamans multiple and dare I say it, ridiculous appearances in the animated series, Super Friends cue theme song!
While his rep of sea horse riding and dolphin surfing has stayed with the public, DCs New 52 comics has fashioned him into more of a stoic and aggressive hero. Under the creative team of Geoff Johns and Ivan Reiss, Aquaman even spun off a secondary series called Aquaman and the others, proving how relevant and popular he truly is in the world of comics.
That being said, it comes as no surprise that Snyder defended Aquaman on the Detroit sports station, commenting that Aquaman could cut the flesh off Superman if they came in contact. So does this mean well get to see him throw down with the Man of Steel? It looks like its certainly a possibility as Momoas casting rumors were finally confirmed. Days earlier Mamoa was spotted at the same rock climbing gym that our new Amazonian Princess, Gal Gadot was seen training at in Detroit.
Its reported that Mamoa has signed on for multiple films, so we may not see an impactful Aquaman appearance in Batman v Superman. It has been hinted that Aquaman could possibly have an issue with the World Engines disruption of the Indian Ocean in Man of Steel - which would make for a believable cameo, as Arthur has always had surface dweller troubles.
If theres any actor to make the general public believe or swoon in the might of Aquaman (no snickering, please), its Khal Drogo!
Not sure how I feel about Ben Affleck as Batman. Anyone else find that role for him hard to imagine? Not the first guy I would have picked I don't think.
Is this movie supposed to be about Batman fighting Superman? Epically stupid if it is.
