The Tennessean has just gone nuts. Imagine if Jones got word that some of his players are in trouble and he doesn't bother to call anyone. What would they be saying then?

Exactly. But that doesn't fit their agenda and they do have an agenda.

Meanwhile I read an article from another news outlet that was pure facts about the calls with no slant to try to make this into something else.

You have a bad feeling because a coach did what a coach should do and talked to whomever he needed to talk to in order to understand the situation so he could make a decision on the status of and support his players?

Really?!?

If it's a criminal investigation then he better stay out of it.

So you expect him to decide to suspend players without understanding the situation or talking to them?

And you expect him to not be informed of the situation so that he can make a decision?

Maybe you expected him to read about in the newspaper first?

As the head coach he is the one that has to respond to the media about activities concerning his players. Talking to the necessary parties in order to do that is what I would expect.

The Tennessean home page is now showing a story claiming to detail Butch Jones phone records which it claims show calls to Drae Bowles. Large prominent picture of a frowning Butch is attached.

Yeah, but they show he called Bowles, and then called him back just a few minutes later, which correlates with Bowles story of coach calling him a traitor and then calling back to apologize.

All that does is confirm phone calls took place, which given Bowles' importance to the case, is a given under the circumstances. There's no way of proving that Butch called him a traitor unless the conversation was recorded.

Before you post something you really should make sure you know what you are talking about. There is a time lapse of 6 hours in between the calls and in between that there is a call to Bowles's father.

You underestimate the power to blame CBJ without any evidence.

Proves nothing, however, as no one has any way of knowing what was said in the conversations. Bowles has been a little wishy washy on his stories. More information is needed before anyone is condemned. The Tennessean probably thinks it's being noble, but what if Bowles is lying? That would mean the Tennessean is very clearly trying to push an agenda by releasing facts that mean nothing, but are perceived to mean something.

More crap being fed to a willing Tennessean by the Plaintiff's lawyers who continue their simultaneous trial of this case in the public domain and in Court.

Anybody who doesn't understand that this is being done to shape public opinion in a effort to put pressure on Tennessee to settle is living in fantasy land.

This happened in November 2014, these phone records have been around for a while. Only reason it's released now is to keep the story in the news for the alleged victims. This is nothing ground breaking just proves all parties have phones and prone to use them. Not what you write how you write it.

You mean plaintiffs? I haven't been keeping up with it much lately.

As for Naughright, being that she's in FL, it doesn't matter whether the trial is in Knoxville or Nashville. She 's not a plaintiff, is she?

Yep, I do, thanks. As much as I'd like to accuse the fingers of not following the brain, the brain is going to have to take the fall for that one.

Are you posting for 8 year olds?

As it turns out the judge was appointed by Clinton and is a Vandy Law grad.

In the past there has been much discussion concerning the definition and spelling of words and expressions I have used, so to try to avoid taking away from the importance of these developments I expained what I getting at. But this judge was appointee rather than elected, so sorry for the distraction.
