Switch to Nike: Like or Don't Like?

How do you feel about UT switching to Nike in 2015?

I'm sort of indifferent about the whole thing. I'm sure most recruits do prefer Nike over Adidas. While I don't think it's a HUGE difference maker in terms of recruiting, at least it's one more thing we take away from opposing coaches to negative recruit against us.

Recruits will love it.

Better Recruits=wins. Some people just don't understand this.

I don't really care that Tennessee is switching but can someone please cite where a recruit actually said that they wouldn't commit to a school because of the brand of gear a particular school uses. I don't follow recruiting close enough to have ever seen a quote like that and if someone can provide one, I'll concede.

Personally, I think that the brand a school uses is as inconsequential as random comments made on a forum when a recruit makes their decision.

Love it. Can't wait til their stuff starts coming out. Bet more stuff sales now and Will not be so hard to find. No one wanted Adidas. Hard to find stuff here
in Ga and even when I go to Chattanooga. Winning will help that too, but then again, so should the Nike brand.. IT'S ABOUT TIME

No we understand the statement just don't believe it.. So this class would be no 1?? I suppose winning has nothing to do with it just the Nike jersey is the reason.. Really..

Well, that helps when Nike was started in the 50's at the University of Oregon. Nike already had inroads there.

50's?? I thought Phil knight started selling shoes out of the back of his station wagon in the late 70's and it grew from there. Maybe I'm wrong. A google search is in order here.

Update: Nike was started in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports and later changed to Nike in 1978 according to their website.

Love it, absolutely love what Nike has done to NFL gear, so I will be purchasing my fair share of Nike Tennessee gear.
