I'm not sure I'd call Mattis or Bolden amateurs.
One would be likely to stab you in the face with a razor sharp bayonet and the other would steal your soul.
siap. Tucker was going off the other night

So, basically like every other night. His shtick is to go off on and talk over anyone he has on his show. He's a douche.
You watch his show every night? Otherwise Im not sure how you arrive at that. The only time he talked over Wicker is when he suggested Tucker was a MUH Russian for questioning what happened
Ras, Pacer, Vol8188, et al,
Could you please provide a detailed account of your evidentiary standards and standards of proof for any happening in the world in which you are not actually there to see it with your own eyes and hear it with your own ears?
Remember, the account you give must be a general account, such as to apply to all happenings, and must be such that by this general account and these general standards, you are able to assert that you don't believe chemical weapons have been used in Syria (and, especially not by Assad or the Syrian forces), while this same account and these same standards allows you to give reasons for why you believe that certain other happenings actually happened.
Basically, your standards much be such that if you believe:
x happened
y did not happen
That these standards provide the verdict that
x most likely happened
y most likely did not happen
And, I want to thank all of you for this insightful discourse. I always end my intro to philosophy course with a couple of weeks on the philosophy of conspiracy theories, and now I have fresh material to share with my students.
Not an answer to my question.
Youre right. It is not. But it is to that theres contradictory claims being made. So in that case, Im going to default to motives. Who is served by this?
The rebels have reason to use gas. Theyre losing for one. Another being they could make it appear to have come from Assad if they use it against their own people or civilians.
The politicians owned by the military industrial complex (Graham and McCain for example) have plenty to gain by pushing the idea of a chemical attack. Especially after trump announces he wants to leave Syria.
Do you truly still believe this was Assad? Or are you at least sceptical at this point?
So, while this is not an answer to the question I asked, may I ask a follow up question?
Do you think the Washington Times is a credible source and one that we can reliably count on to correctly quote its sources?
Do you think Carla del Ponte is a credible source on what is happening in Syria?
I'm just looking for simple "yes" or "no" answers here.
When I want my trusted news, I too always turn to "The Washington Times" LOL
I consider both sources to be as reliable as any source that is making the counter claims. Which is the only thing that truly matters. Not the overall credibility of either. But their credibility relative to their oppositions credibility.
Del Ponte, a former Swiss attorney general, joined the three-member Syria inquiry in September 2012, chronicling incidents such as chemical weapons attacks, a genocide against Iraqs Yazidi population, siege tactics, and the bombing of aid convoys.

She added that "everyone in Syria is on the bad side. The [Bashar al-] Assad government has perpetrated horrible crimes against humanity and used chemical weapons. And the opposition is now made up of extremists and terrorists".
Carla Del Ponte: War crimes expert quits UN Syria inquiry - BBC News
Obstructions placed in the way of Syrian war crimes prosecutions by the United Nations and Russia contributed to the decision of Carla Del Ponte, a renowned war crimes prosecutor, to resign as one of three members of a UN commission of inquiry.
...
Del Ponte had previously accused Russia or the Syrian air force of attacking UN aid convoys, and said there was evidence that the Syrian government had been responsible for recent chemical attacks.
