Syrian Kurds are close to declaring Independence

Carlos is screaming thru copious amounts of baby powder this week. The war harks are pissed that the country is fed up with their continual schitt and won’t let them off the leash anymore.

Find an issue that’s any of our business and actually impacts our country’s security and get back with us. Until then don’t assume all opportunities for another sandbox war are an automatic green light.

Seriously, a few posters here could make a better case for the withdrawal than this rambling.

Safer now than when?

Suez Canal, Panama Canal, Straits of Malacca, Gibraltar, The Bosphorus... these would be considered great geopolitical victories. Northeast Syria ranks down there with controlling The Cumberland Gap, Valparaiso, Chile and Entebbe, Uganda.

Queue up Lee Greenwood's "Proud To Be An American"! I Iove the refrain in there where he sings about whoring out our soldiers for protection payments.

MAGA!

There was anything remotely as significant as 9/11 in the previous 200+ years of our country.

Are we to expect to have troops over there another 18+ years?

Hello?

You take that back about Cumberland Gap.

So, now that Trump has literally indicated that the Kurds can pound sand. Do any of you wonder if he just flat out told Erdogan that he didn't care if he wiped them out?

I was in Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1994, but I couldn't summon up the nerve to attend the remembrance ceremonies. I didn't want to get that upset on our anniversary trip.
The thing that struck me odd when I visited the memorial was that the Japanese conducted themselves in a much more reverent fashion than a lot of the Americans.
