Syrian Kurds are close to declaring Independence

Tough guy POTUS sent a "don't be a tough guy" letter to Turkish president Erdogan. Erdogan just threw it in the trash.

Greatest military force in the history of the world.

POTUS so weak he is dismissed by world leaders like a crazy cat lady wanting a stern word with the supermarket's assistant manager.

I wasn’t aware the Kurds traced their lineage to Abraham. Have you got any info showing they do?

I've only read theories, but there are Kurdish Jews. You'd think with DNA and such, this stuff could be worked out.

I doubt either Israel or the greater Kurd population would go out of their way to prove it, though.

I’ve never heard of the association. Not saying it doesn’t exist just that as I’ve stated never heard of it 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure Kurds are so much a lineage, as they are a population having roots in a region.

Either way, I doubt many are claiming that heritage, much less wearing it on their sleeve. Especially the ones in Northern Syria.

You actually believe the only foreign policy choices are total endless war or cowering isolationism, don't you?

No, not in the least. I do not think we should gamble the lives of our soldiers on the bet that their mere presence would prevent a man like Erdogan from invading. If we did and lost we would have no other choice but to take military action against Turkey.

IMO the least worst option (there is no good option) is to pull the troops out of harms way and enact economic sanctions to get our way.

Does it stink down there hugging Trump's nuts?

I have no doubt most of the rest of the world enjoys having a coward like barry as the President of The United States.
Name just one show of strength that Cadet Bone Spurs has taken with a foreign adversary. Trump has done nothing but place the United States in a position of weakness in international negotiations and diplomacy. Trump has sided with Putin over our intelligence community. Trump has lobbied for Russia to be accepted back into the G7 unconditionally. Trump has exchanged love letters with Kim Jong Un and shown no concern for the fact that North Korea is still pressing forward with their nuclear build up and testing missiles. Iran has shot down one of our drones and attacked a Saudi oil field... and gotten no response from Trump. And now, Trump has abandoned a key ally in the middle east, against the wishes of practically all of his advisers. This guarantees the resurgence of ISIS and future terrorist attacks. Donald Trump is the embodiment of an old, weak, feckless, pathetic coward.

1) "Mere presence"? I'm shocked at how little regard the modern conservative has for our military. Erdogan's forces entering Syria with any hint of threat to U.S. forces would have met the sort of firepower that would have swiftly and definitively made crystal clear the regional pecking order.

2) Our soldiers are far more endangered when even third rate forces like Turkey think they can push America around with mere feints of aggression.

3) When Obama was president you guys couldn't get enough of mocking ineffective economic sanctions. Now it is the only smart play. I look forward to you guys cheering on President Warren's economic sanctions after the next terror attack organized in the void left by Trump.
