Oh please. Like Biden approved a specific plan. Gtfo with that fake crap.
So your argument for Joe is that he, the COMMANDER IN CHIEF, did not even review the plans and instead let someone under him have all of the reigns? So he's either not fit for his position due to a derelection of duty (for not reviewing plans) or he ignored advice and signed off on a stupid plan.

Take your pick. Oh and before you try to push the low iq argument of "MUH TRUMP", he's not relevant here.

Yes it was screwed up but the end result was always going to be the same. Our troops come home and the Taliban takes over.

This handwringing over what some Brit thinks is laughable
Given how someone on here was parading around claiming Trump was a joke to the rest of the world and that Biden had restored our credibility with other nations I can see the relevance. In the grand scheme I do agree though. I don’t care what other countries think as long as we are not allowing those countries to take advantage of us.

I’m curious, if this exact same scenario played out under Trump what would you say?

The same thing I've said previously.

I'd be glad he's bringing the troops home and that I don't g.a.s. how it looks. I really don't. Unlike most of the people in this thread looking to pounce on Biden, I'm just not going to sit here and pretend to start caring about the Afghani people who rolled over or for the US civilians that chose to stick around. I've wanted our troops out of there since Tora Bora.

The only thing Trump did wrong here was give them a timeline. Props for getting the ball rolling - I'm just sick of the posters in here pretending to catch the vapors over the optics of international politics after overtly stating they didn't care about it for four years.

Met up with my buddy last night who left in May. He is still in touch with two guys that are still on the ground. Said that space is limited on flights out but you can catch a flight out if you want. They are asking for volunteers to stay to free up space. He showed me a picture of the guys grilling out in the embassy and they looked relax. They didn’t mind staying at all. Lots of reports in the news that aren’t as bad as it seems. Taliban is definitely letting Americans through and mainly just want us out. They are for sure hunting locals who helped though. We are currently trying to get at least one local out right now.

TIFWIW.

You always lie this much? Where is my deflection?

I just said it was stupid. It’s not this level stupid though.

Sorry u view that as a deflection.

I know ur side is clinging to anything to get this stink off Biden.

I’d love to see your reaction if Biden or Obama had negotiated this deal. You guys lost your collective minds when Obama released 15 guys from Gitmo. Trump released 5000 taliban and crickets. Trump negotiated a peace accord between the us and the taliban that did not include Afghanistan. Crickets.

Boots on the ground are now saying that they expect to either completely withdraw and abandon who ever is left or engage the insergents.
This is what it looks like when you have a plan and an SOP and say “**** that”.

LOL at your sanctimonious BS...

I am sure he did not say this group goes here, that group there. He left it to the generals of course.

Trump couldn't find Afghanistan on a map with the countries labeled in big bold letters.

The “fact” that Joe can makes him an absolute foreign policy genius. Joe is labeled an “expert” because he has spent so many years in Washington but years of experience with mediocre success hardly make someone an expert.

Maybe they followed Biden who said it would take the Taliban months to take the country?

But oh hell no, let’s not hold Biden and company responsible for anything.

I’ve said repeatedly this withdrawal was a poorly planned cluster f and that’s on Biden. However, there’s plenty of blame for the other administration for the mess in Afghanistan and your refusal to acknowledge that based upon your tribal allegiance is laughable

When was our front turned to him? Simply repeating the mantra “God bless the USA” for decades doesn’t make it magically true. Was God blessing the Roman Empire? Which was much larger and much more powerful than the US has ever dreamed. What about the British Empire?

If you say you’d say the same then ok. There’s no doubt most flip flop positions based on which party took whatever action.
