State Department Hit by Cyber Attack, source says

The State Department is the latest to fall victim to a cyberattack a source told Fox News Saturday.

The notification of a possible serious breach was first made by the Department of Defense Cyber Command.

It remains unclear when the breach was discovered, though it appears to have occurred a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe I missed it but has Blinken made any public appearance where he spoke? I don't recall hearing from him.
None that I’ve seen. State spox Ned Price has been doing all the talking that I’ve seen while Blinken I’m guessing is hoping to stay out of the blast radius.

I’d love to see your reaction if Biden or Obama had negotiated this deal. You guys lost your collective minds when Obama released 15 guys from Gitmo. Trump released 5000 taliban and crickets. Trump negotiated a peace accord between the us and the taliban that did not include Afghanistan. Crickets.

Now you are deflecting….

Just trying to find anything to talk about other than the current mess.

That deal had Zero, let me repeat zero, to do with this debacle, and you know it.

While stupid, it impacted the actual safety of our US Citizens in that country very little and our allies still remained.

This mess is totally on Biden.

Stop trying to deflect. It’s obvious and honestly pathetic.

Hopefully we are going to leave all of the Afghans in Europe since they are so big on wanting immigrants, especially Germany and we have our hands full with the southern border.

You think Europe is the only country trying to be sanctimonious while immigration ravages their countries?

To be honest, we can address every sad and/or horrific story out of Afghanistan especially at this point. I am more concerned about our obligations to the Americans stuck over there. We can't continue to be the world's police that spends billions in these 6th century civilizations that know nothing but savagery. However, since we were there and had a 20 year investment we do have an obligation to not leave incompetently. Biden's strategy was incompetent which leaves the region back pedalling and created more problems than solving them.

@ClearwaterVol has a lot of buyers remorse but is too stubborn to just admit it.

At least. Now there are threats from ISIS. Now now we need to make sure we have enough force to actively execute the evacuation under combat conditions possibly. If we’d only done the withdrawal in an orderly logical fashion 🤷‍♂️

But an orderly and well planned withdrawal was impossible…..

At least that’s what we’ve been told by the Biden apologists.

This is an excellent 13:44 interview. Excellent!

Lt. General says THIS is why Afghanistan crumbled & US lost credibility

Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin (RET), Executive Vice President of the Family Research Council, joins Glenn to discuss the Biden administration's recent failure in Afghanistan. He explains WHY the Afghan military was so quick to crumble, and why the US now has lost credibility as an ally to the rest of the world. Plus, General Boykin shares his thoughts on whether or not the US could lose its superpower status soon…

British Parliament Unloads On Biden: ‘Biden May Have Condemned The World To Chinese Domination In Future’

Numerous members of the British Parliament slammed President Joe Biden this week in response to the catastrophe the president created in Afghanistan with his disastrous pullout and handling of the situation.

Members blamed Biden for the situation and shamed him for trying to cast blame on others, including the Afghan military. Many of the members said that America’s image was seriously damaged around the world and the West could suffer greatly in the years to come because nations may no longer trust the West to keep its promises.

The following are just some of the things that members of the British Parliament said about Biden:

TONY BLAIR: America's retreat is Imbecilic – and tells our enemies we don't have any interests or values worth defending

The abandonment of Afghanistan and its people is tragic, dangerous, unnecessary, not in their interests and not in ours.

In the aftermath of the decision to return the country to the same group from which the carnage of 9/11 arose, and in a manner that seems almost designed to parade our humiliation, the question that allies and enemies alike pose is – has the West lost its strategic will?

By that I mean, is it able to learn from experience, think strategically, define our interests strategically and on that basis commit strategically? Is 'long term' a concept we are still capable of grasping? Is the nature of our politics now inconsistent with asserting our traditional global leadership role? And do we care?

As leader of our country when we decided to join America in removing the Taliban from power in 2001, and who saw the high hopes we had of what we could achieve for the people and the world subside under the weight of bitter reality, I know better than most how difficult are the decisions of leadership and how easy it is to be critical and how hard to be constructive.

Afghan ESCAPE Descends Into Chaos Amid ISIS Threats, Taliban Death Squads and Biden’s False Promises

us-afghanistan-evacuation-4.jpg

A crowed of Afghan people gathered at an airport in Kabul as they wait to board a US military plane to flee the country on Aug. 20, 2021.

The escape from Afghanistan continued to descend into a humiliating debacle for the US on Saturday, as threats of ISIS attacks and Taliban death squads — and contradictory guidance from the White House — added to the perilous chaos faced by thousands of Americans and allies trying to flee the country.

The US Embassy said on Saturday that American citizens in Afghanistan should stay away from Kabul’s airport, the only way out.

Has Kabul Debacle Opened A Rift Between Boris And 'doolally' Biden? No10 denies PM feels 'betrayed' after Washington's rapid pull-out left UK exposed

  • UK tied to US cut-off date of August 31 for end of evacuation flights from Kabul
  • If Joe Biden fails to extend the date, the UK will have to stop flights within days
  • No10 denied claims that PM Boris Johnson feels 'furious' or 'let down' by America
Boris Johnson's feelings about America's withdrawal from Afghanistan have been variously described by sources as 'furious', 'a betrayal' and 'let down'.

Downing Street dismisses the claims – it is in neither country's interests to stoke tensions when the future of Afghanistan hangs in the balance – but there is little question that the UK has been left exposed by the speed of Washington's pull-out.

Britain is tied to America's cut-off date of August 31 for the end of evacuation flights, which was agreed without consultation, meaning that if Joe Biden fails to extend the date, the UK will have to stop flights within days – to allow time to also remove the 900 British troops in the country.

No, we’re not Afghanistan’s babysitter and we killed Bin Laden. Our tax dollars have no business in the Middle East.

'No nation will be able to get everyone out': Defence Secretary admits desperate Afghans trying to escape to the UK will have to make their own way past the Taliban after August 31 - as four women are crushed to death in Kabul airport stampede

  • MoD looking at establishing processing ‘hubs’ for Afghan refugees in countries such as Pakistan and Turkey
  • However, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace says Afghans fleeing the Taliban may have to escape themselves
  • The 900 British troops in Afghanistan cannot remain without logistical support of 6,000 US soldiers in Kabul
  • They will therefore have to finish the evacuation before that point to allow them to safely escape Afghanistan
By GLEN OWEN and IAN GALLAGHER and ABUL TAHER FOR THE MAIL ON SUNDAY and JAMES ROBINSON FOR MAILONLINE

Afghans trying to flee to Britain to escape the Taliban will have to make their own way to the borders if the Americans do not delay the date for leaving the country, Defence Secretary Ben Wallace declares today.

In a powerfully emotive article for The Mail on Sunday, Mr Wallace warns that time is ‘ticking along, impossible to stop’ towards the imminent end of the UK’s mission to rescue thousands of Afghans entitled to come to the UK.

While acknowledging that ‘no nation will be able to get everyone out’, Mr Wallace also announces that a series of ‘processing hubs’ will be set up in countries neighbouring Afghanistan for refugees who manage to escape. If they can establish their right to come to the UK, they will be flown to Britain.

Britain will be Forced To Turn To Russia and China to Exercise 'moderating influence' over the Taliban, Admits under-fire Dominic Raab

  • British forces have evacuated 3,821 people from Kabul since August 13
Britain would have to turn to Russia and China to exercise a 'moderating influence' over the Taliban despite a mistrust between the UK and those governments, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has said.

'We're going to have to bring in countries with a potentially moderating influence like Russia and China, however uncomfortable that is,' Raab told The Sunday Telegraph newspaper.
