You are the gullible one. No they DGAS about infrastructure but they do care about their fortunes and the Taliban leaders will get paid by the Chinese to let them rape their land. This is an area the Chinese have a huge advantage over us, they don’t GAS about how barbaric the people are that they work with as losing as they are getting what they want.

At no point did I say they didn't care about gaining wealth but if infrastructure were the key to them gaining wealth then they have been living off of pork and beans the last 30 years which isn't the case.

Afghanistan has been extremely accommodating to foreign powers coming into their nation and exploiting Afghanistan and its people, which is precisely what the Chinese aim to do. Where have I seen this before in the last century?

It came as Defence Secretary Ben Wallace admitted that the airlift of 7,000 Brits and Afghans was “down to hours now, not weeks”.

PM Boris Johnson will use today’s G7 meeting to urge US President Joe Biden to extend the August 31 deadline so as many people as possible can be evacuated.

They spoke by phone last night and agreed that the West must take a “common approach” in dealing with the Taliban.

If Mr Biden refuses to extend the mission, some of the next seven days will be spent airlifting troops, not evacuees, out of Kabul.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali blasts White House response to Afghanistan: ‘Incompetence taken to cartoonish levels’

'What is really alarming is the people we elected to run our government are totally incompetent,' the human rights activist said

Hoover Institute fellow and human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali said Monday that President Biden’s decision to withdrawal U.S. forces from Afghanistan in the manner he did was "stupid, irresponsible and dangerous."

Ali told "The Story" host Martha MacCallum since the killing of George Floyd, America seems to have entered an environment of "self-flagellation," that America is "systemically racist," and this led to the U.S. forces being unprepared to deal with the Taliban.

"We entered this rabbit hole of microaggressions and then make a decision like this one [Afghanistan]. It's one of a macroaggression. The Taliban means business. They are really cruel people. They're bad people with a terrible ideology. We're not prepared for it because our Navy is being told to read Ibram X. Kendi’s ‘How to Be an Antiracist,'" Ali said. "This is the thing that we've been talking about over and over again the last few years. No one took us seriously. Now the world is looking at America, looking at this conflict, and thinking about good guys and bad guys. The Taliban are the bad guys. Look at the White House and what do you think? Tweedledee and Tweedledum. It is incompetence taken to cartoonish levels."

BREAKING NEWS: Adam Schiff Warns it's 'unlikely' Biden will rescue all Americans and Afghan allies before his August 31 deadline as US military tells president to decide on extension by TUESDAY or there might not be enough time to get troops out

  • Adam Schiff, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee, spoke on Monday as he left a briefing
  • He said he does not believe all US citizens and the Afghans who have helped the US forces will be evacuated by Biden's August 31 deadline
  • The US military have told Biden, CNN reported on Monday night, that he has until Tuesday to make a decision whether to stay beyond Aug 31
Evacuations from Afghanistan of US citizens and their allies will likely not be complete by Joe Biden's August 31 deadline, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee said on Monday.

Military officials have warned Biden he must decide whether to keep US troops in Afghanistan by Tuesday - otherwise they will miss the deadline to leave.

House Intel Chair says unlikely US will be able to evacuate all its citizens from Kabul by Aug 31 | Daily Mail Online

When TF did we start listening to terrorist organizations telling us deadlines about where our troops go and if we can rescue American citizens?

I hope I'm over-reacting but the continual use of the phrase "any Americans that want to leave" when referring to who we are committed to help raises red flags. Seems like an out for leaving some behind.

I'm not quite sure who exactly would fit into the "other" group, save maybe a tiny collection of committed martyrs.

48k evacuated, zero Americans killed. Maybe Joe should next evacuate healthy people from Florida to save them from DeathSantis, who is more deadly to them than the Taliban.

What's sad is I actually believe that you believe Joe is doing a great job. Stupid people make me sad.

Where is the nearest airbase to Afghanistan now that we've closed down Bagram? Can we not send in airstrikes and call the Taliban on their BS?

It's the most cynical of tweets from Klain - ignore what you see with your lying eyes; we've created some stats to show that everything is going great.

It's the opposite of authenticity.
Oh, I know, but I was commenting on EL's gullibility and desire to believe Biden is not the incompetent buffoon he has clearly shown himself to be.

Whats sad is she hasn't acknowledged the fact for him to have evacuated 48k that means he had to have left at least 48k over there.
