Private flight leaves Kabul with nearly 300 EMPTY seats after passengers turned away by US & Taliban security – reports — RT World News

Abi-Habib, co-founder of the Sayara International development firm based in Washington, DC, told the Wall Street Journal that American Marines working security at the gates of the airport had refused to allow Afghans through, even when they could prove they had a seat reserved on the plane. Abi-Habib said that one passenger had to squeeze through a sewage drain to reach the airstrip, saying “we can’t expect everyone to crawl through a sewer pipe to safety.”

While efforts were made for days to fill more of the plane’s empty seats, the businessman said at one point the window to leave was closing, and decided to depart with just 50 passengers.

A separate 240-person charter flight destined for Ukraine also had to leave with around 70 empty seats due to US troops denying entry to passengers, according to the Journal.

People vote with their pocketbooks. As sad as this is, people don't tend to throw Presidents out of office for it. Plus, the next General Election isn't for another 3.5 years. If we were having an election this November, it could have some sort of impact.

So first you make it political with the "bounce back" line, then you condemn the other side for making it political? Makes sense.

I really haven't seen anyone "taking glee" from this. People are pissed off at just how royally Biden's administration ****ed this up.

I was painting the living room last night and switched from CNN to Fox, was trying to get a range of views. Seemed pretty consistent in this being a disaster for Biden that will be very difficult to bounce back from.

Trump was on, could've done without hearing from him. But it made me think about the next election cycle. To all you Republicans and Democrats....... Please get your ish together and demand competent, resolute and courageous candidates. We need leadership.

An analyst just said Biden was trying to do that Clint Eastwood quint reading the teleprompter.

Then the other one commented he put his head in his hands then tried to come with that George W. Bush tough talk without the credibility.

My God, mercenaries doing what our active duty military should have been doing for weeks who shouldn't have even been put in the position to not carry those missions out in the first place.

My God this is like reverse inception a failure within a failure. I respect these men immensely, they personify what it means to be an honorable US soldier, past and present.
